Warhammer Fantasy Battle 2250 Tournament

Date: February 28th Location: Showcase Comics in the Granite Run Mall Phone: 610-891-9229 Address: 1067 W. Baltimore Pike, Media, PA. 19063

We will be holding this event a couple of doors down from the store, in the old American Café space. This gives us enough room for up to 32 players. If anyone has any questions about rules, or army lists, please feel free to contact me before the tournament. E-mail is Mikenjudyc@aol.com, or go to our forums at ShowcaseComicsandGames.com

Entry Fee: 15.00
Judge: Mike Clark

Registration and Check in from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Table assignments and pairings will be done at 10:30, so please don’t be late.
Round One: 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Round Two: 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Round Three: 5:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Please note that we are not taking a long break for lunch or dinner. There are 45 minutes between rounds. Pairings for the next round will be done asap after a round ends. If you show back up late, you are cutting into your own game time. As this has happened many times in the past, I will be warning everyone at the start of the day, and there may be penalties for showing up late for games.

1.) Requirements: You must have 5, (five), copies of your army list. This must be a printed list, or extremely well written and legible. One is for your self, one for the judge, and one for each of your opponents. The store is not responsible for making your copies. We don’t have a copy machine. Write your list and make your 5, (five), copies ahead of time. You must bring a copy of your own army book, and basic rulebook. We will not be in the retail store. The store will not be providing copies, (unless you want to buy them, of course.) Similarly, you need to provide your own dice, templates, rulers, turn markers, and movement trays.

2.) Army Lists Allowed: All army books that are currently in print. Beasts of Chaos may not use allies from Demons or Warriors. Lizardmen will use their new book. White Dwarf lists and ‘back of the book’ lists are not allowed. Ogres (and only ogres!) may use Rhinox Riders, these may be Forge World or scratch built, but must be appropriate models. Characters, magic items, or army lists from Storm of Chaos or Albion cannot be used. Special Characters may be used, subject to the restrictions within their own books. Sending in your army list ahead of time is always a good thing, and very appreciated. You can do this by email, (MikenJudyc@aol.com), or by sending me a PM on the forums.

3.) All of the most recent rules errata/faq’s are in effect. Please see the recent FAQ on the GW website. Please do not refer to rules that you do not have printed out and have brought along with you. What they say on DakkaDakka, Direwolf, or at Adepticon may not matter one bit. Polite discussion of rules is always ok, at least until the Judge makes a ruling. The word of the Tournament Judges is final.

4.) All models must be WYSIWYG, (What you see is what you get). Please, do not bring a complicated proxy armies where dryads are demons, or toadstools are goblins. All models must be painted, to a minimum of 3 colors, and must have some type of basing added. If you do the minimum painting to play, expect to get a zero on your painting score. Unpainted, inappropriate, or incomplete models may not be used. Check first if you have a question.

5.) Good sportsmanship is important. Violations of this philosophy will have consequences.
The main goal is for all players to have an enjoyable time.

6.) All scenery will be fixed. Please do not move or adjust the scenery in any way.

7.) Scoring: 120 points, (Appearance: 30, Composition: 30, and each of 3 games: 20.)

Appearance – The quality of painting and conversions. Effort put into basing on models, movement trays, or a display board. , The overall ‘Wow!’ factor of the army. The use of a coherent theme or uniform appearance. Appearance is judge scored, and worth up to 30 points.

Composition – How difficult it is for someone to beat your army, regardless of player skill. How much fun it is to play your army. How many times have people seen this exact same list, or something close to it, at tournaments. Composition is judge scored, and worth up to 30 points.

Battles – Each game will be worth from 0 to 20 points for each player, depending on how much the margin of victory is, and possibly special scenario objectives.

8) Prizes will be given for first, second, and third place finishers, along with anything else we feel like handing out swag for.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.
