Looking for modeler that have been familiar with these.
Size wanted would be for chaos warrior / orc warrior / size bases 5x4 rank ish.
*must be well built and sturdy dont want it broken already when it arrives
*the sides must be high enough so models wont slide off all the time
*bottom must be flat when placed on table ><
*sides might want to be reinforced so tray wont bend or break when picked up
with minis still on it.
Modeler is required to provide 1 sample tray or photo of prototype
and we can discuss prices for multiple trays.
Thats all i can think of for now xD

There are also the GW ones and Litko (though assembly is required and
they provide slow service and a fit that is sometimes too snug.

I have a friend who does a lot of of wood working for a living and I know he'd be more than able to do everything you're asking. I just linked him the thread in an email, hopefully he'll get back to you soon =)

Just worried alittle about wood though.
What are thin woods like compared to plasticards?

He could answer your questions much better than I, and he's taught me about woods that I didn't even know existed. So I have no doubt there's some wood or technique out there that would do the job, and I will no doubt soon hear about it ;-) That being said he works with plastics and such too, so if you weren't interested in wood trays he could do it with another material.
On a side note my dwarves could do with some trays that actually look nice, I may have to bother him about trays too...

Hello. I'm Neconolis' friend.
Anyway, while I normally do round stuff (pens, bowls, bottlestoppers), I also do picture frames, which is similar in concept.
Plastic vs. wood: When looking for pictures to be sure I had the right idea, I found a place that does it in plywood. Shouldn't be a problem: I have some 1/8 birch plywood in stock already, and could get some thinner, depending on what you wanted. Plywood should provide sufficient strength for this application. However, plastic wouldn't be a problem, either. Same procedure to make - just extra effort to make it stay transparent, if you wanted acrylic/polycarb.
Basically, custom ones wouldn't be a problem. I could even do some rare woods, if you wanted your command squad with an ebony tray or something.
