Yeah Micro art makes them so they are under scenic bases.

They make wings too for them, and a little crippled mechanicus on techno-hoveround.

EDIT:

Their minis are great in theme, average in sculpt in my opinion.

I can see a lot of people finding used for them. You'd have to use elf legs and arms but they you can do SOBs, female guard, all sorts of stuff.

You flatter me. But really, I'm just an ordinary guy. I put my pants on the same way anybody else does: I put a gun to the head of my manservant and bark Russian military commands at him until the poor blighter either figures it out or watches his brains exit his forehead.

How are they amazon bodies with two breasts? I thought Amazons cut one off to make bow firing easier (according to the ancient Greek 'fluff')

That is the 'history' for the amazon warrior women from what I recall. However, I'm willing to forgo that bit of information to avoid having models with a needless masectomy. If I wanted that, I'd just use the current Daemonette torso's. The tech priest looking guys are an awesome find good job on that KK.

Women shoot bows just fine with the normal assortment of breasts. Until they get REALLY large they don't get in the way, and can be strapped down well.

Also, these are in hoplite style armor, not lighter archer or skirmish type kit, so perhaps there is a caste thing going on (should you care to specify.)

I love the Warstore, but they really need to clean up their website some. I have a hell of a time finding stuff, mostly because of their sorting system I think.

From wikipedia:
there is no indication of such a practice in works of art, in which the Amazons are always represented with both breasts, although the right is frequently covered.

Take it with a grain of wiki salt, but I have always heard that the whole "cut of their breast to shoot a bow better" was false.

Good find on the mechanicus-y dudes, KK. I had been wanting to get some of those but didn't feel up to ordering from Europe.

Um were there ever real amazons? If not this is a pointless debate.

But yeah I've heard both the 1 breast (supposedly a-mazon is without a breast in Gree) and that it was a mistake.

Pointless indeed. On the topic however, does anyone know if there are more of these tech-priest like guys being planned? I figure I'll pick up some of the basic guys, though I'm not a huge fan of the tracked guys.

Scythian women were known to fight alongside their men, generally as horse archers, in Roman times. They are often considered the basis for Amazon type myths around the area.

To further put the masectomy issue into the ground, consider that many women shoot archery today. The Olympics does not have a lower ratio of breasts per woman than other sporting events.

I suspect such stories are more along the lines of "Look what those crazy barbarians do!" than a well reasoned or actually observed phenomenon. Humans love those sorts of stories.

Isn't the original source for that Herodotus? Good read actually think Bill Bryson BC. The scythians are the basis for the myth several "warrior women tombs" have been found. The breasts however were normal (as they were frozen mummies they were found).

It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass.
