These were some of my first minis ever painted. I haven't ever had expirience with painting before becuase I never liked doing it that much.
However, ever since my Battleforce, I've been doing a lot more.

Yah, our house has issues with dust cuase we use a coal stove.
About the camera, I don't have a better one. I put them through some filters that improved the quality a little bit.
Moving on, this is my commander. He has a Fusion Blaster, Plasma Rifle, and a Shield Generator. I plan on painting him soon.

Very Nice. Great start to painting. These are far better then my first minis. I would suggest highlighting the black with some grey.

I'm going to try and start highlighting my minis. I noticed how many poeple do it, and it looks pretty good. The only problem is that it would be pretty darn hard for a nub like me.
I'm gonna do it first on my commander and see how it turns out.

Yeah, those are better than my first minis too, Psst, if you don't want to highlight, instead of basecoating the minis black, basecoat them dark grey then use a black wash on them  also, if you're feeling adventurous, try sime OSL around those glowy red bits EDIT: also, nice bases

I got my commander finished. He's probably the best mini I've done yet, he took to hours.

I just got two gun drones finished. They didn't turn out as well as my Shas'o with the highlighting, but they are better than my FWs
The pics I took weren't too good. In the back, its kind of hard to see, but to put more brown on it I colored the vent brown with orange on the inside.

I like the overall effect, but I'd recommend you check out Grey Death's latest friday tip. It was about getting colour in cracks neatly, and while I like your colour, It looks as though you're having trouble keeping it neat. Cool theme overall though.
I want to see this army fight Sirath's army.
