Yeah, I know the model. But if you're going to build yourself a Mechanicus army, I would search for a more impressive model as commander.

I think that for the topic to progress any further we'll need to see some pics of it in a further progressed state. Right now we've pretty much covered that you have a metal model which you haven't done anything to.

This new stuff looks fairly good, although a little sloppy in places. I like the colour scheme; is that mechrite red?

True dat, homie. No offense intended of course, especially since my own stuff is worse. The only part that really doesn't sit right with me is the hair. I apologize but it really doesn't look right to me at all. Nice work on the rest of it though.

Maybe it would look better in reality, but to me it looks way too yellow. Then again, it does sort of have a comic book look to it. I actually think tha... ALL HAIL THE HYPNO AVATAR

You may also want to consider obtaining the squat AM figure in power armour with axe and las pistol.

Your AM in pa is alittle small for a HQ choice, perhaps the techmarine with suitable changes to the servo arm weaponry?

I don't know how i would go about getting that squat - even though he looks awesome.

and to relation of hieght, theres always cork and bitz for that.

I wasn't the one who started it. I was just annoyed about Gordino, I have no idea what it has to do with my Hellboy Avatar.

On topic: Your soldier could use some more work. I'd suggest drybrushing the armor with a brighter red and use a more subtle yellow tone, Iyanden Darksun works best for blond hair imo. Some washes on the brown parts would help a lot too, try devlan mud or gryphone sephia.

Rujorua Epsilon

Rujorua epsilon was once a beautiful planet, filled with vast plains, tall mountain ranges, and large, green forests. Twin pearl-like moons filled the night sky with their light, and during the day, the system’s mighty sun, named Ragnaros by the planets inhabitants, shone brightly like the courage of the planets people.

Situated to the galactic west of the Cadian gate, in a previously unidentified system, Rujorua is the perfect strongpoint for the defence of the western flank of the eye of terror, creating a launch point for counter strike's against chaotic raiders.


The Rujoruans are a proud, robust, and warlike race of humans. They once lived a pleasant lifestyle among the herds of Umpara deer upon the plains. Their walled cities rose like bastions of strength upon the plains, and the armies of the rival cities fought many times to decide who controlled the lands between them. Equipped with the finest weapons and armour their home city could produce, the warriors of Rujorua clashed.

Largest and most populous of the cities, Mechar ruled over all other cities on the planet. Ruled by king Joseph Arkhan, a just and noble king whose tactical brilliance brought his city victory after victory, Mechar dominated Rujorua. Mechar’s warriors enforced their king’s will upon the other cities with superior weapons that used gunpowder, and those who rebelled were mercilessly crushed.

A very religious people, the Mecharians worshipped a being known as the king of gears. As the one and only god of Mechar, and Mechar being the ruling city, the king of gears became the planets primary deity. The king of gears was portrayed as a man made of mechanical parts, and was the deity in many myths who gave Mechar its advanced technology and taught them how to use it.

THE MECHANICUS, THE CULT OF THE MACHINE

Then the imperium came. In the form of the adeptus mechanicus, imperial personal landed on the planet. A delegation including king Joseph rode upon the backs of their trademark mechanical steeds to meet the mysterious “sky flyers.” Upon reaching the lead sky flyer, a ramp fell to the soil, and from the dark interior stepped a tall figure, swathed in rust red robes and bearing an enormous axe that crackled with energy. From the robed figures back sprung mechanical arms that ended in claws and strange weaponry. Convinced this figure was an avatar of his god, Joseph dismounted from his steed, and walked to meet the figure. Bending his knee, Joseph Arkhan swore fealty to this mysterious avatar of the king of gears. Seeming to acknowledge joseph's oath, the figure turned and beckoned him to follow into the sky-flyer.

It was two days before Joseph and the figure re-emerged into the light of Ragnaros, and when they did, Joseph’s warriors were overcome with a feeling of awe. Joseph had changed radically over those two days. Joseph was now swathed in robes the same color as the avatar, and a silver cog hung from a chain set about his neck. he explained the avatar was a tech-magos, a leader of the cult of the machine god, who was called the Omnissiah. Josephs right eye had been replaced with a metal eyepiece, and the servos in his new metallic legs hissed as he moved. He also bore an axe similar to the tech-magos, albeit smaller. Joseph went on to explain he had been indoctrinated into the cult of this new god, and that other Rujoruan’s could also become indoctrinated.

A week past, and the world’s population, some three hundred million souls, gathered upon the largest stretch plain on the planet, morvael field. There Joseph - aided by over a thousand broadcasters set up throughout the field by his now fellow cult members - explained what was to become of Rujorua and its people. He explained the cult of the king of gears, who would bear the name omnissiah from that point onward, had come to Rujorua. He explained how the cult indoctrinated him, and how the whole of the planet could be gifted the same status as a member of the cult as he now possessed, albeit ready to serve in any way their superiors dictated. Joseph then laid down the dictatum draconic, in which the population of Rujorua was to be separated into three distinct castes. These three castes were the divisio legionnaire, the armed forces of Rujorua, charged with the defence of the cult and the new factotums it was to construct and to supplement the skitarii legions. The divisio heloti or those who would work in the factories of the mechanicum and produce goods and supplies f or the population of Rujorua and other planets in the imperium. finally the divisio technicus, or the priesthood of the omnissiah and the rulers of the planet.

The population of Rujorua, instead of rising in revolt at this destruction of all they had created, embraced the new way of life put forward by Joseph. Of Joseph’s later years, all that is known is that he became the vice-magos prime of Rujorua, and helped to administer the creation of the factotums of Rujorua. Some of the divisio heloti speak of Joseph as being contained within a massive suit of artificer armour which house the many systems that have kept him living well past his limit, even with conventional bionics. If Joseph were to appear now, in the closing years of the forty-first millennium, he would be well over 600 years old.

And so, the once verdant world of Rujorua became a forge world of the adeptus mechanicus. Its armies massive, even without the skitarii legions, Rujorua has since participated in numerous wars with the agents of the chaos gods, most notably the black crusades of Abbadon the despoiler.

So, what's with all the talk about a hereticus in your first post?

<I'm using hereticus rules to represent magos prime (lords) magos (regualr inquisitors) praetorians (sisters) and some whacky vehicles, etc. but the main army is going to be the legio scutulatus = guard rules>
