Fluff:
the white host of the city of quatar was never a force for which to willingly give battle. all the men, horses, and animals that composed its bulk were quiet, always quiet. some said it was due to thier prayers to the god of the dead, D'jaf. others claimed it was just a scare tactic. whatever the cause, once the king ordered it, his chariots would gallop thier way to the enemy flanks, thier riders whooping and hollaring with battle-frenzy. the warriors who crewed these elite fighting machines were deadly experts in the art of battle, and were honorary tomb guard of D'jaf, even though they did not fight on foot with the rest of thier kinsmen.
the warhost of the white city, at least during king Amon-zar's riegn, could boast of a large body of chariots. fiercly devoted to thier task, these elite warriors would charge into the fray, trying to break thier flank. when the king did eventually die, so his tomb guard on thier chariots rode into the vaults below his pyramid, and were entombec alive, to guard thier king for all eternity, thier bows always knocked, thier spears always sharp.
