Just want to hear if there is anySnowboarders out there who also play the legendry table top game.

If so wat armies do you have and how good are you at Boarding??

its something i wanna get into, but only dry slopes around here, so i think i need some time off

I ski and snowboard.

Personally i love snowboarding way more, i love
carving the snow with my whole body's balance and movement.

Though the sharper edge on my snowboard makes me more careful when going near others, because at high speed, its like a giant knife.

dont mean to hijack the thread, but im now thinking about taking some time out to get in a few weeks of boarding.
anyone know anywhere half decent? (i do plan on leaving this little island )

Come to vancounver, we have 4 ski resorts here!

Whistler is world famous as all winter sport people should know.
On the back side is Black Comb .

Then we have Cypress ( good long runs for intermediate lvl )
Mt.Seymour ( better for beginners )

i don't snowboard, i ski. snowboardings a bit too cool for me :p i don't even play a cool army, daemonhunters >.<

i'm pretty decent, i can ski any of the resort slopes in australia. i don't know how they compare to overseas, but i can ski double black diamonds etc. now that i live away from home i can't afford to go very often tho.

The guy who runs my FLGS recently fethed up his shoulder pretty bad Snowboarding. I know he playes Wh 40K and WM.

This also brings me to the fact that the only two people I know who go skiing/snowboarding have gotten hurt pretty good. this guy messed up his shoulder pretty bad, and an Ex girlfriend broke some ribs. The broken ribs even kept me from my only shot at getting some with her. As far as I am concearned... everyone who goes and does stuff with snow and sliding across it get hurt and in some instances keep my getting some precentage down. No chance in hell you will ever catch me doing it.

Well when skiing, and you fall due to high speed + unsuspecting bump you naturally just fall forward and your skiis will fall off.

With snowboard you are sideways , when you fall that way you'll always either hit your arm , elbow , neck at high speeds, and the binding does not come off either.
so tumbling and such your back will always get hurt from weird angles.

I went skiing yesterday.

Boarding is sweet, best thrill ever. i'm going to italy in a few weeks. gonna end up in hospital though coz i'm not that good.

He kinda is goin with me.

I have lived and worked in the French Alps for 3 years and snowboard at least 4 days a week (in season). I'd say that i'm proficient, despite tearing my MCL last year, hyperextending my left elbow, stitches in my eyebrow and being knocked out a few times to name but a few.

Do play quite a bit of 40k though, and this I am good at.
