Hi Everyone,

I've just uploaded a battle report to a page on my website for battle reports. Just go to www.AntsArmies.com.au and click on the link for Battle Reports. There is only one there at the moment. Let me know what you think and what I can do to improve it. I'll be uploading every battle Report every two weeks so keep an eye out for new battle reports.

Cheers,

Ant

Not bad. Maybe try some sharpening or greater zoom on the images as it's a bit hard to tell what's what. Might also be worth setting different base colours in V40K to help set squads apart.

It would be a nice touch to credit V40K with the batrep software and provide a link to their website.

Was this a battle played on V40K, or on the tabletop?

G'day Boss Ardnutz,

I credited V40K on the opening 'Battle Reports' page with a link to them on the bottom of it. I thought this would be enough but you are probably right, I was just being lazy so next time I update, I'll stick the line of thanks and a link on each battle report. Good thinking.

This game was played on a tabletop, I just redid it on the V40K so that the battle report looked nicer.

I hear what you are saying about the zoom. I think I'll make the maps bigger on the next battle report. Gets rather tricky to see who just splatted who.

Cheers,

Ant

Seems like a very fun battle. The only thing that bothered me was that you are calling the Dire Avengers transport a Falcon all the time. They are Wave Serpents. If they were indeed Falcons than the Eldar player cheated, as a Falcon can only carry 6 models. Besides, he would've had 4 Heavy Support choices.

Your Kommando's were able to enter the board on turn 5. Reserves arrive automatically in turn 5 (changed with the 5th edition rulebook).

Edit: The game seemed to be going pretty good for the Eldar forces, until their General forgot that the Eldar are very much a hit and run force, not a stand your ground force. His Dire Avengers (unable to shoot after the Bladestorm) should've re-embarked the Wave Serpent and drive away from the Orks. I don't understand why the Fire Prisms did shoot at the Battlewagon until it was down. The Eldar are fast enough to dance with the Killa Kans and Deff Dreads so the Eldar player shouldn't have worried about them.

The ruins of the Palace of Thorns

A very enjoyable to read battle report. I very much like that presentation.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

All good points. They must have been wave serpents, he had used Army Builder to make his army which is pretty carefuly about following the rules. I am very new to playing the game so I believe my opponent was probably going easy on me. Also he hadn't played many games against the Orks.

Death will come at the hands of the ancients, those who determined our fate aeons before we stood erect upon the holy ground of terra and gazed up into the starry night.
