Court Marshal of Commander Spielget.
On the 5th of the last month, Commander Spielget(SN: 1324653-S) was leading his men in the final destruction of the orks of Waaaagh BloodBoys in the port of Venerus Hive. While in this operation, a small strike force of the Adeptus Astartes dropped in and finished off the Ork menace. Commander Spielgat was not pleased and decided in a rage to destroy this strike force who had taken his glory.
The strike force watched as the Venerus PDF moved forward towards them, kicking up dust and seeming eager to greet the force. However, ratlings under the PDF began to fire upon the strike force from a local Administratum building. Captain Snera knew full well the intentions of the PDF and returened fire. The sternguard reducing the offendin ratlings to mush with heavy fire. Captain Snera then ordered his men forward.
Scouts under Captain Snera began firing poisoned shots at the guardsmen who had sought shelter behind remaining ork barricades, causing several of them to die from the neurotoxins in the shots. The Land Raider "Divine Fury" fired its lascannons and tore the turret off of an advancing hellhound. Captain Snera then called for terminator support form its orbiting Battle Barge.
Commander Spielget's forces fired with fury at the scouts who had sought shelter in a beached transport ship. However, no shots reached them and platoon commander Quer(SN: 1237398-Z) decided to take out the ship. Autocannons in the front roared at incoming speeders and bikes but were unable to land any hits. The Leman Russ "Vindictive" fired and its blast sent a bike spiralling into the hull of the transport ship. The basilisk "Endeavor" fired and annihilated all five brothers in the sternguard retinue.
The terminators landed close to the PDF lines, Squad Able landed in the administratum building and Squad Beta was jammed by local PDF jamming sites, and they crashed through the deck of the transport ship, one brother was impaled on a adamantium pylon in the lower decks. The strike force continued firing, annihilating several sentinels, a Kasrkin squad, and severely wounding members of several other squads. Squad Vega under the command of Sergeant Baur(SN: 1237465-A) retreated back to HQ in order to deliver the news of what was occuring.
Captain Snera continued his push as blasts landed among his forces, his assault squads screamed forward into the lines of the PDF. Planetary Governor Gergo Smitk received news of the battle from the reports of squad Vega and demanded a direct vox to Commander Spielget. A kasrkin infiltrator squad snuck up on a small squad of Tactical Marines in a ruined building and killed several of them. Shots from Land Raider "Divine Fury" destroyed the basilisk "Endeavor" while the crew was reloading shots. The hellhound also was ignited by shots from the predator "Annihilation".
Just as the PDF was about to charge forth, the voxes of the PDF rang with the orders to stand down directly from the Planetary Governor. The few remaining men under Spielget's command immediately dropped their weapons while Commander Spielget still fired at the strike force. Captain Snera removed the offending arm from Spielget and detained him. Captain Snera then decided to show mercy to the remaining guardsmen by ordering them to load all of their weapons into the remaining transport vehicles and escorting them back to Venerus Hive.
Captain Snera demanded that sole blame be placed upon Commander Spielget. Governor Smitk agreed with the Captain and placed several charges against Commander Spielget.
Commander Spielget was later hanged on charges of; Wasting of munitions and weaponry, heresy, actions not befit of an officer, and for general miscounduct while in command. The remaining guardsmen are awaiting evaluation by the Inquisition for possible chaotic influence.
