Hi,
Well, I began a project that I cannot finish due to starting a new job and having absolutely no spare time. So I am looking to trade my
NIB tyranid army for a completely painted army,
40k or fantasy, of any type.
Maybe you've tired of your army and want to try something new? Let's swap
I have:
54 Rippers (These, the hormagaunts, and the warriors are the only non-
NIB items. 20 are
NIB, others primed black or painted as these were obtained through ebay to give a screen to all of the gaunts!)
95 Hormagaunts (I bought these as bits items to get only hormagaunts, and I carefully have removed the parts from the sprues. I have also removed the mold lines from all of their torso pieces. However, I also clipped off the slotta bases from their feet, planning to pin them onto regular round bases, so they will have to be pinned to stand when they are assembled. This will allow you a much greater variety of poses, but there's no choice in the matter, I'm afraid!)
12 Tyranid Warriors with bits for 2 x scything talons (carefully removed from sprues)
7 Raveners (one came without a set of talons, but I have enough spares to cover it)
4 Lictors (I know, you can only field 3!)
2 Broodlords
1 Red Terror (to use as a hive tyrant or a
HTH carnifex)
Enough small wings to convert all the warriors, and a slightly larger set to convert the
RT, if desired
If you want to run a traditional tyranid army, you'd have to buy some big bugs, and a few bits to convert the warriors to have different weapons. I bought these models because I love they way they look, and they are not all the most effective units (re: carnifex or genestealers). However, you can find those anywhere, and hopefully this is a unique set of models that will catch someone's interest who wants to build a completely new army.
I was planning to run this army at 2500 with a super high model count, if you add a few big bigs and some genestealers to run with the broodlords, this could easily be made into a 3000+ point army.
Well, let me know what you think
