I had just begun a Daemons army when I found myself lacking motivation and inspiration to build even more Chaos stuff. Orks are an army I've wanted to do for a long time. So with the quick procurement of a few AoBR Ork sets and some Nobz and Boyz and I had already I've begun work on my Ork army.

I'm leaning towards a speed freaks style list but I'm really just going to be building whatever units I think will be fun. Eventually I'll be adding some fun Apocalypse formations and most likely a Stompa, maybe two. ;D

So right off the bat I have a Warboss converted from a Black Reach warboss. I stole quite a few design cues from Darren Latham's Warboss shown in white Dwarf 350.

This guys was a blast to convert and definitely a nice change of pace from working with resin and metal from my death guard army.

I'm going to be making a Big Mek out of a plastic Nob next and then I'll probably start assembling the horde of AoBR boyz and start working out some paint schemes.

Comments and criticism are welcome as always!

Looking good. I particularly like the use of the small buzz saw as the "thumb" of the power klaw. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this army (and your Death Guard).

Really digging the small slight conversion work on the boss.

It'll be fun to see what you do with these boyz.

Arise thread, arise!

Painboy:

Most of the army is assembled except a few vehicles I'm waiting to receive. Nothing too major with conversions on the average troops, so I won't bother posting bare plastic models as I'm sure everyone know what Boyz, Nobz and Bikerz look like.

I've set a goal to have the whole army painted by the end of June. Hopefully I can pull it off in between my commission work.

Your Warboss looks awesome. The skin is amazing. Could you provide a scheme for the skin like you did for your new Death Guard? Also, that trukk boy with the "wtf? *drool*" is funny as hell. Ork Painboy conversion is very Apothecary/Techmarine like . I like your work and keep it coming. Good luck with your goal.
