Many years ago in the first expansions of the Tau there was a small elite recon force deployed on a remote and supposedly desolate planet. When they arrived they saw what many Shas'la had nightmares about. The planet had only a small sun orbiting around it and would only revive 12 hours of daylight each year. The force deployed unfortunately lost all communication with T'au. The force settled in caves dotted around the desert planet. The army donned a new black and red armor which allowed them to blend in with the sea of darkness. Shas'el Knol's was the brave leader who kept the force's hopes up.

The men started to lose faith. Then as if it couldn't get any worse the chaos descended on to the hell like planet. The chaos as always convinced through torture and manipulation parts of the force to join them. The Shas'el was first to fall.

"It seems these "things" have realized my true potential! The greater good be damned! Ha ha ha..." 307th drone diary (the last ever recording)

But just as it seemed all hope was lost... Shas'la Knol's, son of the Shas'el gathered the little support left and rose up against the chaos. The fight was bloody and horrific. The Shas'la fought a personal battle with his father. No one to this day has found out what the fight was like in fear of asking.

"The greater good shall prevail. If not through me then through the next and the next. Someday we shall be realized and the universe will be united" The speech made before the battle by Shas'la Knol's.

Standing over his fathers corrupted corpse he knew that he was destined for greatness.

Many years later, the third expansion to be exact, a battle scarred Shas'o rose to the challenge of suppressing rogue Shapers who were converting loyal Kroot. The Shas'o with troops gathered announced this speech:

"You...my loyal men...we must rise. Between us, if you don't believe the greater good it doesn't matter...Just look around...do you see the families and future worth fighting for? Yes? don't fight for the ethereals, fight for what you believe in... Right! get moving"

A few hours later the Force was thrown into heavy jungle warfare. They were told to suppress all rogue forces and prepare for a long stay.

"Everyday... the acid pools, the flesh eating diseases, the Kroot assaults. They let out blood curdling war shouts. My friends... Oh god... their screams... i can still hear them. Surely death is better than this fate..." Shas'la Gu'ka (who died shortly after in a Kroot raid)

The Tau settled in and observed the Kroot's way of attacking and surviving. As the Kroot kept attacking the Tau learnt more.

"The Kroot arrived screaming and shouting to a camp which had no one in. As they looked around puzzled the grass underneath their feet and the bushes around transformed into pulse rifle wielding shas'la. Took about fifteen minutes most. We surely have settled now." The Shas'o's comments on an ambush.

It took many harsh long years but it was over. The rebellion had been crushed and a strong bond formed between the Tau and Kroot. The Kroot then fully reveled to them the secrets of the planet. Today this planet is still guarded as a bastion against any attack. The bond between each of the squads has become so strong each squad appears to have its own personality. The leader himself has become intertwined with his men as a trusted friend. It is said the Tau of this planet can navigate through any Terrain and still set up an ambushs. The army, will and ability of these Tau is extremely strong and loyally follow their trusted leader the Shas'o. Shas'o Knol's.

Lol. i'd better introduce myself... well i can't remember when, but i first got the maccarage box and i loved to paint the scenery but was no good at the models. I then thought tau looked pretty cool cause my friend had them so i collected and painted as you do and then i realized i didn't like the set color scheme so i changed it to chaos looking colors. Then only recently i got back into WH and started painting properly (jungle scheme). i enjoy it so much and i have 3 kroot squads, 5 fire warriors squads, 2 hammerheads, a devilfish, aun'shi, stealth team and loads of crisis battle suits + drones. lol thanks for letting me join. This is such a cool site
