They probably will. Not sure what that means for them in the metagame, though.

I wonder if warbeasts will change as much as warjacks have, since they're currently more viable than warjacks. They've been the bread and butter of Hordes the way that Infantrymachine has been the bread of Warmachine.
They might need some of these things to keep up though.

Hmm, a great question. Another great question would be will WARLOCKS get Shake Effects like WARCASTERS have in Mark II.
I don't know. I'm not sure hordes needs it, but I'd kinda be surprised if at least Warlocks couldn't do it.

you know, the way warbeasts and warlocks interact already makes me hopeful that they won't have to change nearly as much.

With the new rules for Jacks, Beasts would have too hard of a time dealing with them. Being able to spend a focus to stand up after being knocked down is amazing. There are some Jacks I have to just take out of the game because it's so hard to destroy them. If my throws and slams didn't work, I woudn't have anything to really effectively deal with them.

The way I am looking at slams and what not as still being effective against jacks is that, they get hit for some damage, moved away from you, possibly deal more damage to another model, and they lose some offense capability due to the focus spent to stand back up. I played a game against my cygnar friend recently where I had a perfect assassination attempt lined up with an old witch, a marauder, and scrapjack, but he scrambled the marauder and it trampled my witch and scrapjack, thus costing me the game. haley's feat, + defender+longunners+apprentice caster = dead witch.
