Hello everyone! I'm new to wargaming, I just started collecting Warhammer
40K about a month ago, and I'm already quite addicted to the hobby. I've been painting, modeling, and doing pretty much every type of craft and hobby work you can think of as far back as I can remember, and I've been addicted to strategy boardgames like Risk and strategy videogames for about as long, so table-top miniature gaming is pretty much a match made in heaven for me

I came across this forum a couple days ago from a link on Turn Signals on a Land Raider, and I was simply blown away by some of the scratch-builds and conversions, paint-jobs, and terrain in the forums, definitely the most high-quality work I've seen on any forum so far(and a far sight better than most of what you see from official Games Workshop converters and terrain builders

), so I just had to join up. Plus, reading through the threads, the whole community here seems really friendly, encouraging, and most of all enthusiastic, which to me is what sharing a hobby is all about
Um, dunno what else to say about myself. My user name is my real name, I realized years ago that I'm not the type of person who any sane individual would ever try to stalk, and I'm too poor to be worth e-robbing, so I don't bother with the whole "hide your identity" thing anymore. I'm starting out with an Ork army, but I'm in love with most of the armies so I'll probably be branching out bit by bit as time goes on.
I guess that's it, preemptive "Nice to meet everyone!"
