It would be a good way to make up for the lack of specials/heavies in the new IG boxes.

Trouble is most near future mins are not scaled 'heroically' like 40K, even if they are 28mm. A reasonable heavy machine gun could well be mistaken for a lasgun, anything equating to a 40K heavy weapon is likely to only be found on a vehicle or gun carriage.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. |

I agree. It would be great to supplement with other bitz, but I highly doubt it would really 'fit in' with IG unless your ENTIRE army was made of other manufacturer's parts.

No, I would not. I don't want any of my weapons to have to "count as". A guy with a lasgun is obviously a guardsmen, but a cadian with a 3rd party gun is not obvious.

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?
When the history of my glory is written, your species shall only be a footnote to my magnificence. |

Morally-Flexible Malleus Hearing Whispers
Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

I am not big on the examples they have there. Imperial weapons are not very futuristic anyway. Maybe something for hellguns/ hell pistols.
