Has anybody played Last night on Earth or any other games by Flying Frog?
I'm pretty happy with the game. Nice looking cards, figures, and tokens. The major hangup I have is that the faqs are a little sporadic, but the game itself is nice.
If you haven't played it give it a shot.

Yeah, it's a fun little game.
Definitely worth it.
Some scenarios are definitely harder than others [for zombie and humans alike] but i've always had fun the times i've played, even when I was losing.
You definitely get some great narratives going and there will for sure be many memorable moments. It can be quite tactical at times too.
Very, very simple ruleset as well, given that most of the cards tell you how to perform the action [such as shooting, etc]

Have you had any situations arise with the Shotgun card? From reading the card I assumed that you roll a dice for each zombie in a square then after that you roll to see if it jams.
This situation arose when I shot at a square with 3 zombies on it. I was going to roll the 3 dice, but my friend had always played it that you must roll an attack dice then roll to see if it jams. I think he is nuts, but I just wanted to make sure.

I don't own game, my friend does, but we always played that you rolled to see if you ran out of ammo after resolving all the shots.
I think there is a FAQ for LnoE at FFP's website.
I did a quick check on the rules forums at boardgamegeek but couldn't find an answer.

Your friend is nuts.:=)
The card says you FIRE the shotgun at a space, and then roll to hit each zombie in that space. Each time you FIRE the shotgun, you roll an ammo check. So, fire the shotgun, roll to hit each zombie, make one ammo check. I found an FAQ, but don’t know if you really need it.

I have found that board games like LnoE, Mall of Horror, and Zombies usually benefit from taking a strict rules as written attitude. They all have relatively abbreviated rules (24 heavily illustrated big print pages in the case of LnoE) as opposed to a big rulebook and a bunch of $30 Codices. So, reading between the lines is not the best tact. Usually, the cards are clear, if you don’t read more into them than is actually there.
I really like the game. If you like zombies, it's a must have. If the game is more important to you than the subject of the game, it's still pretty good. It's all about the scenarios. At first, it appears the zombies have the advantage. But, once players get a feel for the game, I think balance switches to the heroes. I feel the game plays best with 1 Zombie Player and 4 hero players. One Zombie and 2 heroes is next best. I don’t like 2 zombies player games, that makes it even harder for the zombies to win, unless the zombie players do a lot of annoying table-talking (showing each other their cards, mixing up their actions, etc.) Basically, it’s two people doing a job that one can do better. No matter what, the game is all about recreating thrill’n heroics from cheesy zombie movies.

The great thing about Flying Frog games is their use of the Boardgamegeek forums. I believe the game designer/developer is Jason Hill. He is active on the forums and seems to handle questions and player suggestions really well.
The use of player comments and suggestions in the FAQ, and in other areas, makes you feel like they are listening.

I got Flying Frog's other game A Touch of Evil for my birthday - it's good too. Some luck, some tactics, and a good gothic horror feel. The cards are great quality, great art on them too. Great fun.
