This is what I have already:

Captain Jeremiah Kraye
Cygnar Battlegroup Box Set
Commander Coleman Stryker - Battlegroup Box
Charger
Lancer
Ironclad
Major Markus 'Siege' Brisbane
Squire
Grenadier
Sentinel
Centurion
Captain Maxwell Finn
Gun Mage Captain Adept

Arcane Tempest Gun Mage Officer - Captain
Arcane Tempest Gun Mages - Lieutenant
Arcane Tempest Gun Mages - Gun Mage
Trenchers - Sergeant
Trenchers - Soldier
Trencher Officer & Sharpshooter - Lieutenant
Trencher Officer & Sharpshooter - Sharpshooter

I'm most interested in using Kraye, not sure about the rest.

If you had to pick one solo, one warjack and one unit with attachments to buy to expand this
army, what would you pick?

I hear alot of Cygnar players rave about the Stormclad, Stormblades with UA, and Kraye.

I've seen a few battle reports using Kraye with the Stromblade, Stormclad set up and during the feat turn, the Warcaster dies.

I have no clue as to which solo should be taken. From What I understand the auto-include JMWC is not has viable as it once was. People still talk about the Stormsmiths though.

Sometimes you just have to let em' go...

Yeah, Stormblades, Stormclad, Stormblade UA seems like a vicious combination to pick
up. The UA seems optional, but I'd get it nonetheless.

I'm going to avoid Stormsmiths for as long as I can. I don't really care for the models (a failing
of mine).

Laddermore to keep up with Kraye. Arlan Strangeways maybe?

You don't have a hunter, do you? They lost the ability to shoot 'n scoot, but the extended range, AD and that damn gun should be a hoot & a holler with Kraye...

I'll second the Stormblades with UA & stormglad combo. It's so silly at the moment that its bound get smacked by nerf bat, but currently it's really good. Add Strangewayes to the mix and you'll have 3 focus (or 2 actual focus and the marshalling "focus") jack marshalled, which shoots additional lightning with hits, a unit that can CMA and shoots 3" AoE lightining on charge. Thats some nice special effects and it's fluffy to boot.

Stormclad yes, jack marshall it NO! Kraye's Iron Horse & Full tilt for jacks in his battlegroup beats jack marshall benefits mercilessly.

Arlan is a good pick though who works well with Kraye's limited focus pool. I'd also spring for some more cheap shooty jacks to take advantage of guided fire. Pick away at the edges and then send a feat boosted Mat 9 (charge) PS19 stormclad at the caster from 17" away with 4 focus. Potentially 22" threat if pursuit is active on an enemy model.

It's a thing of beauty.

I'll probably get a Charger eventually.

Best shooters for Kraye are the Sentinel and Grenadier (with trenchers), for their free multiple shots. The charger isn't a bad pick, you just get no benefit from Kraye if you plan on boosting the damage anyways.

Your list says you already have one...

Anyway, all three of your warcasters have good synergies with ranged warjacks. Since you don't have any anti-jack shooting, I'd look along those lines. A Defender or Hunter would be good. I'd only go with the Stormclad if you decide you want Stormblades.

Stormblades wouldn't be a bad choice as long as you have the Trenchers protecting their advance. Long Gunners wouldn't be a bad choice, but I'm not sure how a static shooty element would fit in a mobile Kraye force. I'd stay away from Sword Knights, as the best reason to take their UA seems to be their Drive, and I agree with Moz. No jack marshalling when Kraye is on the field. And don't forget Precursors. They'll do well advancing behind the Trenchers or protecting a shooty unit. Also, they'll get you a head start on that Ashlynn army you've always wanted.

For solos, your options are Strangewayes, a JWC, and Stormsmiths. Strangewayes may find it difficult to keep up in a Kraye army, but at least Evasive Action and Power Booster have a 5" range. Repair is B2B, so you'll likely miss out on this one. The JWC just has to upkeep Arcane Shield, so he can run to keep up if necessary. Stormsmiths can't assassinate unit leaders anymore, but they can still zap officers and disrupt jacks.

I'd go with the Stormblades as I think they provide a versatile second wave threat. Because of that, the Stormclad is your jack. And you can't go wrong with any of the solos.

Seems like Laddermore would go well with Kraye, and I second the suggestion of a Hunter (with Kraye making it act as cav, could be pretty cool).

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

Agreed, I thought you had a charger?

As someone who always showed the charger love even when he wasn't the cool kid, I think you should absolutely give Kraye one. Add a Sentinel, a Hunter and a Defender and you've got a nice gunline.

Oooh, Precursors are a nifty idea, and I think they got better in Mk. 2 (?)...

Oops, I do have a Charger. Must be wherever I stashed the Battlebox minis.
