I think he's right about the new point system. It does change alot about a list without having to re-tool the entire list just because you are now adding in a 145pt model over the 134pt model you had before.
My only problem with the MKII is I feel left out of the experience. I've said this before, I would love to help my fellow Warmachine players at my FLGS play-test their new rules, but because I play Hordes, I cant. I know alot of people loved InfantryMachine, but I always thought of the game using Jacks as it's core. Under the new rules for them, they'll become more of a main option with infanty for support, IMHO, that's how most list should be played. I mean after all, you only get a Caster and Warjacks in the battlebox. But, and this is a big one, I do feel bad that alot of the infantry went a little "blah" because alot of people spent their money on units that were their favorites and not just because they were "broken"
Most of my friends are enjoying the new MKII rules, so I dont see much of a proplem other then others that are upset because their old tactics may be gone.
Just my $0.02 and it's not much worth since I dont play Warmachine
The infantry models, on the whole, are just so much cooler looking.

Agreed. Most of the Jacks are now just "Jack A" and "Jack B".
I like the Hordes line of infantry over Warmachine Infantry though. The Demo Corps and Man-O-Wars do look great though. So I guess If I did play Warmachine it would be Khador.
I'm not for nor against MKII. I see the reasons behind the new format, and I also see the reason some people dont like it. I'm on the fence and will probably stay that way, but again, I dont play Warmachine, so my opinion isn't one to take seriously.....

Really?
Well, everyone is entitled to their opinions.
The main reason I got into WM all those years ago, was solely because of the 'Jacks. IMHO, the infantry were just icing on the cake. Of course, then again there are some Factions and/or 'Jacks that I'll refuse to play because I think they look really bland.
Then again I've also found myself contemplating more and more mechanized armies in 40K as a result of WM.
I like Warjacks. They are fun to put together and paint, and I dig the Steampunkiness of 12-foot-tall Steam powered Robots. That being said, I became sold on the game when I read about Allister Caine and the Arcane Tempest Gun Mages. Now I have the entire Cygnar catalog with the exception of Ol' Rowdy and the two Trencher weapon crews.
Circle Orboros: Tharn, Kromac (shame about the beast form being so beast friendly), War Wolves,
Wolves of Orboros, Druids
Skorne: Praetorians, Cataphracts, Ancestral Guardians, Immortals, Zaal, Xerxis, Green Lantern
Legion: Rhyas, Swordsmen, Warmongers, War Chief
So out of 9 factions, I've only really started one because of a particular warjack once.

Honestly, they could have done more to make the warjacks more appealing. Especially the Khador jacks, which are probably the most similar since all we have are heavy jacks.
If not by making them more unique, then perhaps by adding more ways to pose them in the box. As it stands, there's not much you can do with a jack unless you want to break out the jeweler's saw.
On the other hand... they are making plastics now. Sadly, it will probably be a while before plastic jack kits come out that would allow for much more customization.
I guess I started Circle because of Kromac. But after looking at them, the theme is what gave me the over-dose on metal model mayhem. The idea of a bunch of 12 foot tall Wolves with massaive claws, people who eat hearts, woman who kill as much as the men, and in the middle of it all a massive man among men that can transform into a beast just couldn't be passed up. The entire Circle army looks and plays great to me though. I own just about everything they have made for them with the exception of the Wolves of Orboros and Lord of Feast.
Some of the Jacks could have some more done to them. Alot of them are just standing, while some look amazing. Ol' Rowdy looks great, the Blessing looks pretty sweet. The Behemoth can look good if you convert the legs a little bit. I'm sorry, but what was PP thinking having a 5lb model stand on one leg?? I mean come on.. Oh, and Drago looks like something out of Khorne for 40K, and that's not in a bad way. Dude looks like he is the "God of War".
The character warjacks look like gussed up regular warjacks to me. Of the character beasts/
jacks, I think I like the design of Rowdy's dynamic pose, the decorative elements on the
Blessing of Vengeance's shield, the bigness of Molik Karn, and that's about it. I wish that
Typhon had better proportions to it.
I have to admit to being fond of Titans just because they're freakin' six limb elephants, but
then they put them in the same army as basilisks, the kings and queens of the frogs, so I'd
much rather have their infantry.
Basically I field warjacks and warbeasts for their rules and try my best to paint them since I
know I'm not too fond of the look.

I started Circle for the Wolds. Before the game even come out I wanted the 'wicker men' and Druids from the Monsternomicon. I liked the Warjacks and the Infantry for Cryx, my first purchace was 'the dude with the spider legs and the zombie with a powerfist'. I started playing the game about a year later.

The Amazon Warrior's (Tharn Bloodtrackers and Wolfriders) got me into Circle.
As a n00b, I can say I'm picking units for their abilities and I do what I can to make them make sense together. I'm infatuated with Goblins and if not for the Goblin bodgers, I might not have chosen Cygnar (not that I'm actually fielding any, but I did buy Reinholdt before I even had a caster). My girlfriend liked Cryx because of Denagrah and the fluff fit for Haley so I went that route.
this is the second forum i have seen you post this on...
Nothing wrong with that. I didn't see it on this other forum.
What forum is that anyway?
