Just a suggestion, nothing more.

Quite a few times in the past few weeks, we've seen people asking who we'd reccomend for Online shopping for GW gubbins. HBMC highly rates Maelstrom, due to cheap, fast shipping and a decent discount combined with favourable exchange rates, other highly reccomend The Warstore etc....

But what about Stores you DON'T reccomend? Would this be allowed on Dakka? Would it depend on reasons (for example, poor handling of orders, lack of communication etc would be fair, the owner being a dick not so much if the service is good) or just an outright no for fear of slander etc?

Fed up of Scalpers? But still want your Exclusives? Why not join us?

Sounds like a tarpit of flaming and cross accusations to the detriment of the forum.

I'd much rather we concentrate on slating games workshop like nature intented.

Now, about those price increases...

The bad traders tend not to last for very long. Occasionally good traders turn "bad" when they hit problems, but usually these surface quickly on Dakka and elsewhere, and people get warned pretty quickly.
Generally speaking it might be good to have a list of traders to watch out for, but I suspect these are pretty few and far between.

The only concern I would have would be some unreasonable customer with a lack of patience slandering a hard-working and generally good retailer who perhaps just lost an email, or got sick or something. Mud sticks, even if it is undeserved, and the customer may be always right, but is sometimes a dick too..!

If you are in doubt about a particular retailer a quick search on Dakka for their name should throw up any threads where people have notified problems.

Some sort of system whereby online retailers could be listed and dakka-ites could vote for them (hopefully based on personal experience) as per the gallery system might be nice, but it would be a lot of work for someone... which isn't good.

On the other hand, most e-retailers have a presence on eBay as well, and ratings can be got therefrom.

Just my 2p...

Cheers
