Hey all, i've just picked up 40k again, started playing orks and eldar when i was 13, stopped at 15, and now 23 have decided to start from scratch with a new Nids army.

I bought 2 nid battle forces, a hive tyrant and 2 tyrant guard and have begun an assembly line! Googled some tactica and this site has helped me peice together some ideas for my army (1500pt)

I'm going to build toward the following setup, but would be glad of any input, im going for a generally CC swarm type army with a few shooty peices in.



HQ -

Hive Tyrant - bonesword lashwhip and scything talons
2x Tyrant guard, standard setup but with fleshhooks


Elites-

3x Warrior with Leaping, rending claws, scything talons, adrenals (ws) and fleshhooks
3x Warrior with Winged, rending claws, scything talons, adrenals (ws) (counts as fast attack?)

3x Warrior with 2x devourers, scything talons, toxin sacs and 1x Barbed Strangler
3x Warrior with 2x devourers, scything talons, toxin sacs and 1x Venom Canon


Troops -

24 Hormagaunts with adrenal glands (WS)
32 Termagants with fleshborers and without number
8 Genestealers with Scything Talons and scuttlers


Heavy Support

Carnifex, Thornback, Tail scythe, adrenal glands, crushing claws, scything talons
Carinfex, 2x twin linked devourers, enhanced senses


I priced it up kinda roughly and it comes to arounds 1500 i think.

its based on a leviathan varient i saw in the back of the codex, im using Skull White, Chaos Black, Shadow Grey and Leviathan Purple wash, need to buy a few more colours, bleached bone for the teeth, maybe a red and some green for toxin sacs and adrenals, but im just gonna do as much as i can with what ive got for now.

My paint selection is also very limited.Also I like you're avatar John Cleese(not sure I spelled that right),I love him as Basil.

he's my hero, fawlty towers is a legendary series, he should probably be listed as a british national treasure.
