At my school i run a mainly warhammer 40k and sometimes LOTR club For this week i dont have any pics but i can describe it

small battle (first week tester)

green text = Dan Orks
yellowy text = s.marines

1 troop choice
1 elite choice
we decided we could give 1 of our units a special rule
Joe gave his Tac squad fleet
I gave my boys deep strike

Joe V Dan (me)
S.marines V Orks

1X10 man tactical V 1X11 man boys squad
squad 1 flamer Nob w/ power claw
1 m.launcher krag 1 boy with burna rest with shootas
sgt w/ power fist

1X5 man terminator V 1X5 man loota squad
1 terminator w/ HF 1 mek w/ kustom mega blasta
1 terminator w/ CF

description of battle field 2ft by 2ft board
1 hill in each corner 1 big hill in centre

mission annialation

deploy ment within 12in of a corner other side must use oposite side corner
orks deploy first
lootas as close to centre hill as possible
boys in reserve

s.marines deployment tac squad on the left side of their deployment zone
terminators deploy on the opposite side

Turn 1

lootas move for the centre hill
and then run instead of shooting and roll a 2 so move 2in

the tac start to move round the hill
and termies move round the other side of the hill

Turn 2

I role for deep strike for my boys and role a six and target 4in away from tac and get no scatter
my lootas move onto the hill
the boys fire at the tac and kill 2 with shootas and 1 with burna then assault killing 2 more they strikes back killing 3 and then passes his morale test

his termies turn round and move towards my boys

Turn 3

i role a 3 on the d3 for my lootas shots meaning i have 12 shots and then kill 1 termie
in the assault the boys take out 2 more lowering the tac to 3 men a flamer a missle launcher and the sgt
they then fail their morale test and fall back

the termies move ever closer to my boys and then shoot at my lootas killing 1

turn 4

i role a 2 on the d3 for my lootas meaning 6 shots they open fire on the tac and finish them off
my boys move towards the termies and shoot at them but their armour saved them
the boys then assaulted them killing 1

the termies killed 4 boys in combat leaving 4 alive
the boys pass their morle test

turn 5

the boys strike the termies with all they had left killing 1 more
they fail their morale test and the lootas role a 3 on the d3 using their 9 shots to finish the last 2 of

win for the orks

wow you really nailed that guy which just supports my theory: NEVER USE TERMINATORS AGAINST ORKS EVER EVER EVER. Seriously, for that 205 point 5 man squad he could've gotten a drop pod w/deathwind missile launcher and locator beacon and a 5 man vanguard squad. He would have deep striked (struck?) next to lootas assualted (4 attacks on the charge with one power sword @ I:4), meanwhile the deathwind laucher would clear off anyone who attempted to assault back. Termis=waste of points.

And what's the deal with all those rivets in people's armor? Is it like in the grim darkness of the far future there is no welding?

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade.
