Hey everyone how's the gaming community in southern california? Specifically San Diego. I know Game Empire but is that it? Also are there any tournaments coming up in that time frame? I only play 40k so hopefully there will be something in the near future for that once i arrive.

North County has Pair-a-dice games... their website is unimpressive but they do have game nights 7 days a week. I believe 40k is Monday, but I suggest calling.

Pair a dice isn't bad. I've been there.

The staff are all awesome and the customer base is not bad..considering I shop there and I'm pretty damn awesome. 40k Is every Monday night but you can pretty much go in any time especially during the day and they wont mind if you play.

Its mainly 40k at the moment but there are a few of us who play WM/Hordes, and there is a large card game crowd.

They have 40k tourneys every 2nd Tuesday of the month if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway hope this helped.

I would recomend either Pair A Dice or Games Empire first, but there is also Rogue's Inn in Oceanside, right across from the theater if i remember right. its a comic book store that sells some sitdown/tabletop game supplies. Met a few cool players there, mostly military guys.
I generaly play with friends in Escondido, allways looking for more local gamers. feel free to PM me if you wanna come play on a tuesday.

Yep, thats about it. Kinda surprising considering SD is the 8th largest city in the country. Their is also Game Towne in Old Town (but they are TINY with only 1 table and the hours vary greatly and no parking) and I think Artifex Comics up in Mira Mesa sells GW and they may try to get something beyong CCGs in the future.
I was up in Banger Washington a few months back. Kitsap
Penisula has a population of about 250,000; total...the whole county. Yet in that area they have a GW store (Gig Harbor) and at least 3 other FLGS all within a 20 mile drive each with room for up to 20-24 tables. Not to mention even more across the bridge in Tacoma and up in Seattle.
LA has alot going on, but the drive is murder...especially if your hitting up Pasadena and Santa Monica. By the time you get their your already burnt out and not at your best gaming state.

I play at Game Empire, on Wednesdays there's league night, and people play on friday nights and saturdays. Contact Reecius on here for more, he plays with a good crowd.
