Hello everyone here at DakkaDakka, just picked up the WH40K hobby. Starting with an IG army, potentially expanding into =I= and WH as I picked up those codices as well. Been wanted to play WH since I was a kid, but now that I'm out of college I actually have disposable income to spend on it! Sold my MTG collection and dropped it all right back in on the Guard units and WH books. It's been a slow devolution into actually playing the game, starting with WH40K Dawn of War, then the expansions to it and reading the Black Library books. They sucked me in!

Anyway, I'm working on putting together and painting all the stuff I bought NLT 13JUNE09, might start a thread about that and my newbie painting/modeling mistakes. Any help or advice on that area would be much appreciated! After the 13th, I'll be off to Ft. Lewis for a few months, then some leave time, then Ft. Sill, and finally back home to MA in about April 2010 (only to deploy to Afghanistan in September 2010!). I'll have those nice painted models sitting in storage till I get back next year, but I'll be ready to bust them out then and will be avidly checking the tactical developments following the new Guard codex on Dakka!

Well, that's all I've got to say for right now. I've lurked around long enough, time to start contributing!

Chris

Welcome to DakkaDakka

if your starting (or restarting) that IG army, you must have the new codex. It's helped me, so it should help you.
