Hello everyone.

I used to play WoW for quite a while. My friends and I were always pve players first (raided 9/9 BT back in BC days yay lol). When the expansion came out I lost some interest after doing naxx so quickly and in general just got tired of some of the game mechanics and habits of the game. After I left some of my other friends did too so we're looking for a new game.

Long story short, PvE is my interest. I had a beta for Warhammer but I didn't get it until a few days before the beta ended. I'm wondering what PvE is really like in the game, it's very hard to find any information about it. Particularly what is the end game pve like?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

End game is more directed at pvp castle sieges. There are great quests in between, but a large part is pvp and that is something the game does very well, even for a non-pvp guy like me.

Did you ever play wow? Would that be comparable to raiding the other sides cities? Is there any kind of end game pve?

I've only played WoW for a short while and never got beyond level 40 or so, I quit after I got my horse.

There are several endgame Dungeons and more on the way, like the Tomb kings Pyramid coming soon. I never cared for the PvP in other games but I really enjoy it in WAR. Usually you will mix the two up in some way. There are good rewards for participating in RvR, especially capturing a zone gives a big xp boost as well as the buffs for controlling certain areas that affect the whole zone (bonus to xp, prices, influence, ect). Don't judge WAR by Tier 1 (levels 1-11) as it doesn't really give a good sense of the game.

No, it's it nothing like raiding orgrimmar or SW. Raiding those had no real significant point as far as i know except for onyxia. Castle and city seiges in WaR let you loot, pillage and ultimately burn down the entire city. Also you get major phat lewtz.

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

Get a mount now for raiding all the enemies cities in WoW, so there is a point now. Not a great one, but better than nothing as was the case before the achievements.

WaR is a lot of fun, but as a primarily PvE player in WoW who likes the odd bit of PvP, it wasn't enough for me.

Hopefully it'll improve with expansions, but for the moment other than the bugs and other issues going on in WaR.
The 'gently guide them into pvp, kicking and screaming if you have to' approach doesn't work for me. Also the fact lots of the PvE as you moved forward into the game seemed to be more involved with the PQ's.
Although I didn't reach the 4th teir, so not sure what its like in end game, I suspect its the same as 3rd though.

I'd still suggest you try WaR though, as there is fun in there to be had.

I'm personaly looking towards future MMO's before I'll consider leaving WoW again, Champions Online possibly, but I'll wait till they get a free trial going, Old Republic as well is a possible.
