So I know that once a BA marine suffers from the black rage his is transfered to the DC and then if he survives he is placed in some tower on Baal if i recall correctly. Saying that I would just like to be informed alittle more because well I play them and don't really know a good place to find some of their fluff considering well there is nothing in their "codex".

A BA marine isn't transfered just because he suffers from black rage. That (at least was) covered by the 1:6 involintary movment rule.
Death Company are marines that are consumed by the black rage before a battle to the point they are no longer sane individuals. The Psychic impression of Sanquinius' final battle and death at the hand of his brother-primarch is impressed upon the geneseed. Death Company members actualy re-living that final combat, seeing themselves as their primarch, and their enemies as Horus. Major personality crisis.

Indeed. The Black Rage is something ALL Blood Angels must deal with, which is one of the reasons for their initiation rites of being locked in a Sarcophagus for a year. Those who fail to control it and fully succumb (In 99.9999% of Cases Irreversible, only Lemartes has been able to partially overcome it) are placed into the Death Company. One side affect of this is known as the Red Thirst, which is another thing all Blood angels must battle with, lest they succumb to it. This generally believed to be caused by a Malfunction in either the Neuroglottis or Omophagea of the Blood Angels, causing the Marine in Question to have a insatiable thirst for Blood. Any Blood. Any Blood as in, if he can't get the enemies, he dies as he gorges himself on his own. Note that this can occur independently of the Black Rage, but it is common for both to occur at the same time. The only Blood Angel to have fallen to the Red Thirst and survived is the Librarian Mephiston (who has one of the most Kick ass backgrounds EVER, and that's a lot coming from a Die hard Puppy)

I really have to say, of all the codex marine BA are by far the coolest, If I were to start a marine army, it would have to be a pre heresy themed BA.
thanks for all the sweet links!

Preherasy BA would have no black rage, no red thirst and none of the current special characters...
so the only bit of cool background left would be Sanguinius.
