These are all models for the new Warmachine faction, and that's just the tip of the Iceberg.

I'm not impressed. The hands on the Warjacks are too small, and the warp nacelles on the shoulders are are just silly. The armor the elves wear looks like it was scavenged from Ogres.

Great vid Tinman. I cant say much about the models because I have mixed feelings on them. For Warmachine, they seem out of place. It's like the Retribution took a time leap back to the Iron Kindoms when they were in the 30th-40th century. The Jacks look way toooo advanced compared to the hulks and box-style jacks of Khador and Menoth, and they even look more advanced and slimmer then Cryx and Cygnar.

Dont get me wrong. The models look great, but they seem to look more like something from Starcraft then Warmachine.

I don't think they look futuristic. I think they look like something that would come out of an Anime/Manga series, and I'd say that if these Elves came out of any video game - then I would look in the direction of Japanese RPG franchises like Final Fantasy. The IK Character guide said that Myrmidons and other Iosian technology ran purely on magic. Hence, there are not broilers...

They're a bit, ah, phallic.

I'd make a disparaging remark about PP, but I'll refrain as it'll just be flamebait. (Menoth bait?)

Still, those Jacks (if they're actually Jacks) would need some... filing. Yes, lots of filing before I'd be caught in public with them.

You know, my biggest question is: Can they be posed more than previous models?

I'm a little tired of warmachine's models in that they are very, very difficult to pose in interesting ways, this leads to either a lot of similar looking unpainted models, or a whole lot of tedious model work involving lots of saws filing, and more.

Vert: There's one maybe and if on that.

1. Maybe they are plastic and easier to pose.
2. If they are plastic, they will be pegged so you will still have to do some cutting.

Meh. The 'jacks aren't doing it for me, the characters (other than Narn) look weird (though that could just be the paint job). Infantry look okay.

While I've been excited for Retribution, I always feel that PP doesn't quite know what to do with elves...

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil
