Hey.

Been out of the hobby for around seven years now and at prompting from my dear fiancee (who was probably tired of the whining that "I miss it but I can't afford to restart!") I'm finally starting to pick things up again. It's somewhat daunting given that I have to start from scratch - I dropped out when I moved from the UK to the US that same seven years ago and had to leave almost everything behind...so starting completely over is a massive task although it's turning out to be a refreshing one. Feels kinda good to start over (plus I'm hoping that I'll be a little more skilled at the whole painting/modeling now that I have the time and resources to devote to it).

There seems to be a sad lack of people around the Oklahoma area, but regardless I look forwards to meeting as many fellow gamer dorks as possible (and hey there's always Vassal, when I get around to puzzling it out).

I've been lurking for around a month or so now, figured it was finally time to sign up since I've been getting great use out of many of the painting/modeling articles so far. A good thing, since I've been hit with a crippling attack of indecisiveness in relation to what I should try and play as now (for example, I picked up the Assault on Black Reach set as my re-introduction...whipped up the marine squad as Dark Angels before changing my mind when it came to the dread and rekindling my old love for the Ultramarines. Ah well...experimentation is always a good thing).
