If you want a high detail game, where your characters are individuals who got their own personality as they gain experience, then yes
It's best played withing groups of at least 3 players or gangs, so that you're not up against the same person/gang all the time. Within our group we often play with a
GM, see the Jeriko Reach blog for ideas. You will need a lot of terrain on your board, preferably with some vertical elements.
It's a great game, and the rules are on free download (the book is a lot easier to use though) so there is no excuse not to have a cheeky peek. The minis can also be easily converted (see various blogs) if you are not a fan of the 'official' minis.
