Well, I'm finally heading home to Tokyo this coming Saturday (27'th) and should be arriving on Sunday in Tokyo. I have also decided to bring my 40k Army home with me so I can practice and game in the 3~ months I have free.

As such, I'm just wondering where and when do most of you other Tokyoites game?
I know off the GW Hobby Centers in Jimbocho and Ikebukuro, although I've never been to them (I started the hobby here, in the UK.) I will be dropping by just to take a look at both scenes though. For those that HAVE been to either GW, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me which is the "better" games workshop? I'm basically looking for quantity and variety of players who would be up for pick-up-games, and/or regulars who you know will usually be in the store and would be willing to game. Also, when would be the best times to drop into either GW? would anyone know?

That said, according to the Japanese GW Website, there is currently a summer campaign, Crusade of Steel being run in Japan. I'm just wondering, is anyone participating in it? Also, where would be the better place to play for Crusade of Steel? (in regards to Jimbocho vs Ikebukuro~).

Also, I live in Roppongi/Hiro-o area, and both Jimbocho and Ikebukuro are quite far for me to travel to game. I'm just wondering, does anyone else live near these areas and know a good place to game?

Finally, I've also contacted/been contacted by whitestagg, and have been added onto the bi-weekly game list... although I'd probably enjoy gaming more regularly! If anyone in Tokyo area is up for a/multiple 1,000 point games (that's all I own at the moment... D=) just give me a shout!

Thank you all, and I hope to game with you soon!

[PS. I'm fluent in Japanese, so playing vs other Japanese-speaking gamers will be no problem for me desu.]
[PPS. I'm looking at the Crusade of Steel results page atm:
http://jp.games-workshop.com/events/CoS/reports/reports4.htm and only 174 out of 4691 points were generated by Eldar forces in total... whats up!?!? does no one like Elfdar back at home or what x___X?!
I also see that Osaka GW is pretty big... with more results than any other GW (Except perhaps the main Tokyo ones, Jimbocho/Ikebukuro put together.)]

Well, I'm north of you in Misawa (Hachinoe, Aaomori) and I'm having the exact same problem trying to find people to play with.

As if on cue, you hear two people singing from the stairwell, and the door is opened and a pair of very smelly, very dirty guardsmen stumble in, completely drunk, and covered in vomit, and immediately collapse unconsious on the porch. You drag them to their beds, realising that they will not be waking up for some time.

Unfortunately i can't help you in Tokyo but for Red I just moved out of misawa and was with a desent sized group that played more or less every weekend at the Mokuteki. But i fear with my constant reminders to play they might not e there so frequently.

Look up Ryan Connell on the global and send him an e-mail, he can get you in touch with everyone up there.

There's also a GW store in Nakano, the same building as the Mandrake HQ.

がんばって!
