Hello Dakka heads. My wife and I play WH40K and are looking for others that are interested in the hobby. We're fairly new to Houston and are pretty avid gamers. In the nearly two years we've been here we've come up short on finding friends that are, quiet frankly, nerds like us We're interested in meeting people with the eventual goal of inviting them into our home to play WH40K and possibly other gaming systems. I frequent the Willowbrook Plaza Games Workshop and would be happy to meet any interested players there for a game or just to talk about the hobby. After a get to know period it would be cool to have people over to game, BBQ or whatever. We've got a game room with a 4x4 gaming table with another panel to make it 4x6 if the game size calls for it. We have a four year old girl so the house is safe / friendly for young children with plenty of stuff to keep them busy while we are gaming. We do have a cat as a note to those that might be allergic to critters. There is a preference for couples, so the wives / significant others can hopefully be friends and play along, but anybody who is laid back, likes to hobby and have a good time (wound up rules lawyers need not apply lol) would be a welcome reply in the thread.
