PC Gamer is giving the MMO a release date of 2012 and states that the original creators of World of Warcraft and StarCraft have been brought back into the fold.

This will see a release date fully 2 years after Star Wars TOR mmo (2010) and 1 year after the WH40k mmo expected release of 2011.

Good point. Now I feel really stupid for liking Sci-Fi.

I have not heard news this good since H.B.M.C. put up a big picture of a bunch of Battlewagon Ork weapons.

I guess it's worth mentioning that there is also a Stargate MMO in the works as well called Stargate Worlds that supposedly has a late 2009 release date.

I'm not overly enthused about the stargate one, took a look and it's all looking abit meh.

I'd not like an MMO based on real wars, the whole die-respawn-charge-die thing seems disrespectful to the memories of those millions of lives lost charging over trenches and getting blown to bits. It's why I like my wars scifi and fantasy, far removed from the actual horrors people have suffered, treating it as a computer game feels quite wrong to me.

WWII online is a great wartime simulation of boredom and the realism of how unfair war can be.
