hey guy's. well here is my situation, in the league i have entered for the first 3 rounds it is a 350pt mangeled metal (no solos)
and im going to be taking
Vlad, Dargo and Destroyer.
And my first battle is against a extremly good Cygnar player, and he is taking Haley, Thorn and some other jack that has an arc node. and my problem is on how to beat it knowing that he will be casting: Scramble: A warjack hit with this spell runs in a random direction, and essentially loses its activation for a round. Any warrior models it runs over will be knocked down, and if it runs into another warjack, the scramble target will be knocked down.
and doing what ever else it will do. HOW DO I SOLVE THIS!!
So far the only tactic i can think of is to just try as hard as i can to get close enough to haley without taking a beating and casting : Impaler:This spell does a solid amount of damage and it turns the model damaged by it into a stationary target.
meaning he cant allocate focus or move or cast spells. and then from there i should be able to get my battle group sorted out to be attacking. but i will have to try to keep casting this spell every turn untill otherwise it will be Scramble after scramble

Have Vlad cast BoK, and camp the rest of his focus, then run towards Haley. The rest of his group just walks forward. When you reach her, cut the peasant in half.

Casting impaler at Haley won't work as she can just nullify a spell at the cost of a single focus. 40kenthusiast has the right of it, Blessing of Kings and close that distance the best you can.

If Haley spends time scrambling your jacks, you can just chase her down with Vlad. She (and her arc nodes) pose no real threat to a BoK'd focus camping Vlad. If she's got a heavy with her, you might look to wreck (or avoid) it before you start getting reckless. A knocked down Vlad can be punked out by most heavy jacks.

Impale the arc nodes if you're worried and cast Bok every turn. Once you get to her she's dead. You could also take 2 destroyers or the behemoth and pummel her on the way over.

Haley's very tough in Mangled Metal due to Scramble and her spear. As others have said, your best bet is to close the distance with Haley and try to get her into melee. Which, due to Temp Barrier is harder than it sounds. But, she really doesn't have a good counter to Vlad either, short of Slamming her own jack through him to KD and then beating on him with a heavy. Taking out her Lancers helps.

In most games I've played, the best way to KO Haley is to make her stationary (Knock Down, Sorscha, Throw etc.) and take her out with boosted range attacks or CRA.

Mangled Metal scenarios with Khador against Haley is always tough, because the lack of medium jacks means Khador will almost always be out numbered.

Scramble is usually only used on the first few turns, because once your units get close, she needs to camp 4 focus to spam Temporal Barrier. Maybe consider a warjack with reach? With Vlad's feat + SPD 4 + Run + Reach = 14" threat range which is equal to Haley's Control Radius. On feat turn you may be able to run in to engage her. At that point, Scramble and TB will probably need to drop in order for Haley to deal with the heavy jack sitting on her lap.

Awsome so i will get her with Vlad, but the only problem is vlad and those enemy jacks but then again vlad going BoK and focus camping (21 defence) they problay wont hit (but if they do i hope he live's) but they will problay keep blocking line of sight to the caster all the time so if any 1 has any ideas to get them out, (useing minimum focus as posible).
but then again if i can feat and then boundless charge (13" charge) and get one that will be good and then if i can hopfully bombard 1 that might do a bit of damage or tie i jack down.
really it all depends on if i can get dargo into combat before he scrambles then i can take out 1 jack and then i can try to get a jack holding up the other one while i just go around and kill. or if they are keeping close then i can hopfully get a slam in just try to put his jacks under pressure. look i don't know, i will justy go after her with vlad and hope his jacks dont interfire

Assuming TB is not up, the most focus friendly way to clear LOS is always a Slam attack (you benefit from collateral damage and knock down too). Otherwise, just go bowling and use your own jack as the bowling ball if necessary. Make sure one of your jack needs to have an open fist/claw for the throw power attack.
