So I'm a noob and have the warbox/battle box for the Trollbloods. I've played about 3 times. So I'm still getting used to the guys in the box. Are there any strategies for basic battlebox games? That stinkin Skorne Titan gladiator kills me every time. I'm new to this and don't really have much of a strategy so any help would be appreciated.

boost with your impalers to get knockdowns, that should help, once you knock something down, you can dump damage on it.

Or use the Impalers to pick off likely counter chargers. Cast Surefoot to prevent your opponent knocking you down. Pick him off at range as much as you can as he has no ranged weapons. Try to deploy Impalers in or behind cover as he has no pathfinders.

I'll give it shot. The problem I kept running into was that skorne would put unrelenting on his titan and so if it's not a critical hit, he would move the titan into closer to one of my models. Should I try and focus all attacks toward the titan?

well, if your opponent isn't careful, you could use the unrelenting movement to get the titan far enough ahead of the rest that its isolated and can be surrounded and pummeled.

but yea, use your range attacks, and don't forget about regenerate to keep your trolls kicking

Just got my starter today too, mainly fighting Everblight though.

Regen takes some of the pressure off your warlock to heal, and potentially heals more than the 1 to 1 heal from the warlock.

Also note that all your guys are lights, even though trolls are all pretty big and tough, they're still light warbeasts so don't use them as forward as you'd use a heavy.

Use all their abilities, don't be afraid to slink off and regen for a turn since as tough as the trolls are, 5" movement is pretty nice.

If your Everblight opponent is any good at all You will struggle to win with trolls against them. At least in battle box games. Same goes against Skorne. Both Skorne and Everblight have a book full of game winning dirty tricks that the Trolls can only dream about.

Yeah, I keep hearing about it. Thankfully my main Everblight player is new to the game and is more concerned with fun games and cool looking minis than with cheesing it up as much as possible. His brother on the other hand is only concerned with winning.

For example, he's getting Seraphs and Angelius, but not for their current overpowered abilities, he just likes the looks and likes the rules decently enough and wants to see me paint them up.

Besides, I can cheese it up with Trolls as well.
