So this is the 3rd time straight I've had to play Nids, and its kind of annoying since I'm not particularly competitive or have too many ap2 shots. Oh well.
Oh and I dont know Nid builds, so things with a (?) next to them I dont know the name for or an sketchy on their loadout.

Even with my Emperor's Tarot I roll poorly and he gets first turn.

He infiltrates his broodlord and retinue to my right, with 2 carnifexes, the hive tyrant and gaunt brood directly in front of me. The warriors are to my left behind some area terrain. The other Stealers outflank.

Nids Turn 1
All nids move up 6". Warriors fire at my leftmost Vendetta, but fail to do anything to it. Rest of nids run and finish their turn.

IG Turn 1
I shoot the carnifex right in front of my leftmost vendetta with 2 Lascannon shots, wounding both times. The other vendetta puts 2 wounds on the other carnifex. Between Russ fire and the Land Raider, both carnifexes are down to 1 wound a piece. Chimeras fire at Broodlord with retinue, and kill 2 stealers.



Nids Turn 2
Both squads of stealers come in on my right side (go figure). All nids move 6", stealers fleet and warriors shoot ineffectively, and a carnifex assaults my leftmost vendetta (which only moved 6") while stealer squads assault my 2 chimeras (of which only 1 moved) and the broodlord and retinue decide to assault the Inquisitor's Land Raider.
The carnifex immobilizes the Vendetta, and the stealers wreck one chimera and cause the other to explode. The explosion kills 4 guardsmen, who hold their ground, and takes out 3 stealers (2 from one squad, 1 from the other). Broodlord and retinue do nothing to the Land Raider.

IG Turn 2
The immobilized vendetta fires and kills the carnifex that assaulted it, the other vendetta puts 2 wounds on the tyrant, taking him down to 2 wounds. The flamer squad (whos chimera exploded) take their vengeance on the stealers by flaming 7 of them, taking out an entire squad. Vets who came out of the immobilized vendetta throw a demo charge at the second carnifex, but it scatters and kills 3 of their own instead (in the same squad). This causes them to run. So the primed russ takes out the remaining fex and the other tank begins firing on the Warriors, only wounding 1 due to poor rolling. The LR moves 6" does an about face and fires into the stealers with 1 TL lascannon and the Heavy Bolter, killing 2 more stealers, and wounding the Lord 1 time. (failed armor save from a bolter shot)

Nids Turn 3
All nids move 6" (flyrant moves 12") and gaunts fire at my in the open CCS, killing the lackeys but the commander holds his ground. Warriors fire at a Russ but cant do anything to it (S7 Weapons on AV 14). Flyrant causes the second vendetta to explode, killing 3 guardsmen, but the squad holds its ground. Gaunts assault my commander killing him due to his failed saves. Stealers assault the flamer squad, running them down.

IG turn 3
One russ turns and fires everything at the Stealers, wiping them out. LR moved 6" again, fires into the Broodlord squad and takes out all but one stealer and puts a wound on the BroodLord. Other Russ fires at warriors and kills off 2, wounding the other two. Fleeing Vet squad regroups and kills off the gaunts with some lucky lasgun wounds in addition to the nades and melta. Vet squad with a powerfist fires at the tyrant and throws a demo charge, but the demo charge flies off the board and the Tyrant makes his saves against the nades.
Vets assault the Flyrant (passing the leadership caused by The Horror) and the Powerfist takes off another wound leaving the tyrant with 1, but they lose combat and are run down.


Nids Turn 4
WoN nids come back on the board near an objective, Warriors fire and kill all of the remaining vet squad except the sarge, who holds his ground. He forgets to move his flyrant, and the broodlord finally manages to take off a single lascannon from the LR.

IG Turn 4
LR moves and fires a single lascannon shot at the Tyrant while PotMS allows the Heavy Bolter to shoot at the broodlord and stealer. Stealer dies and the Broodlord is taken down to 1 wound. The Tyrant dies to the lascannon shot.



Nids Turn 5
Warriors keep trying to get into cover, and the broodlord moves back towards his objective. However this puts him right in front of my immobilized Vendetta. Gaunts move into synapse range and spread out near the objective to try and stay alive.

IG Turn 5
The immobilized vendetta takes out the broodlord, while the warriors die to Russ fire. A couple gaunts die, but they pass their test. My lone sarge sits on an objective behind the vehicles.

Nids Turn 6
He shuffles his gaunts around after passing a leadership test and ends his turn.

IG Turn 6
Everything fires at the gaunts, causing them to run off the table.

Final Result

Victory by annihilation

A great way to end a league, even though I finished in 7th out of 9. Not terrible for my first league though.

And I probably forgot to mention that my lone sarge shot at and killed a single stealer during the game. Kinda slipped my mind.

nice report, looks like the nid player got rattled by all the fire and made some critical mistakes...

Thanks! and yeah I was thinking he mightve been a bit nervous after all the shooting. I mean, it was apparent he had a plan, but as the shots started flying he just started moving and shooting without thinking much about what would happen on my turn.

Still, was fun.
