Captain Fyoder walked thru the trench line heading for the observation post. While he was on his way to the post he went past the medical trench. as he past by he saw men from his company who had lost their legs or arms. "Damm those traitors, by the Emperor, i swear i'll wont leave this planet until al traitor scum is dead!" he promised to himself. "Ah their is the post". 10 steps in front of him, standing in the door opening, a young trooper saluted the captain. suddenly a trooper standing on the roof of the observation bunker turned and yelled " Incoming !!!". a blast knocked the captain of his feet. When he got up, he saw in horror that half of the bunker was gone, and from the saluting trooper, only his helmet and some body parts were left. Medic Nevsky ran towards Fyoder , " Are you alright sir?". " Yhea I'm Fine, see what you can do for the soldiers in the observation post and carry of the dead." " Yes sir!" Nevsky replied. "You two , see if there is anything salvageable inside the bunker!" ordered Fyoder. Trooper Boyden, colonel sink's courier, ran to the captain. " Sir, colonel Sink asks for you in the command bunker, follow me!". "What is Sink planning, trooper?". "I dont know sir, all i know is that you are being sent on a mission to eliminate a traitor artillery battery some miles to the north-east.". Entering the command bunker he saw a lieutenant who lost a foot taken care of. He walked to Colonel Sink and saluted him. "Sir, you sent for me?. " Ah, captain, I'm sending you on a mission, 12 miles to the north-east, an artillery battery is pounding our lines". " Yes, I witnessed the observation post being blown up a few minutes ago, sir" replied Fyoder. " yea i heard of it, your mission is to take out that battery tomorrow. you will depart with your second platoon at 15.00 and take out the battery at 16.30 so that we can launch an attack at the heretics trenches at 16.32. When we have their line we will break into the city Promax and liberate it from the hands of that traitor scum.". "But sir, my platoon has suffered lots of casualties, we are unable to fight sir." replied Fyoder". " Replacements will arrive tomorrow morning, captain". "Thank you sir, when are we going to get briefed?". " Tomorrow morning when the new recruits have arrived, now have a warm meal and have a rest, you'll need it.". " Yes sir'" Fyoder left the bunker.

The next day at 12.36 Fyoder left the command bunker after he was briefed. Sergeant Kurtesk waited for him outside. " What now sir?" asked Kurtesk. " we're ordered to take out an artillery battery some 12 miles to the north-east from here so that the rest of the company can assault the heretic trenches protecting Promax. Did the new recruits arrive?". "Yes they have sir. They all look like fresh cannon fodder to me sir.". "They will survive it lieutenant, this is gonna be an easy one.".
At 13.58 he briefed his platoon and at 14.25 most of them were tooled up and ready to go. The platoon would go via truck and dismount 1 mile in front of the battery to go further by foot. At 14.56 the platoon was waiting at the ammo dump ware they are to picked up by the trucks. The veterans were complaining over the new recruits. the soldiers of this platoon were good friends of each other because they fought every day of this now 2 and a half year during campaign in which many men of this platoon died. They all mistrusted the replacements. Fyoder was overlooking all this and he found it a funny sight. The veterans were unshaven and dirty while the recruits had new uniforms and they all wore it correctly. suddenly a commissar walked to the captain and stopped in front of him. "Commissar Deneth reporting. I will accompany this platoon during the rest of the campaign.".
"Why did they sent you here?" asked Fyoder. "Because the fighting spirit of this platoon is a bit disappointing, captain.". Deneth looked at his watch. "Captain it's 15.00 now."
"Right. Second platoon, mount up, we're moving out! After all troopers mounted the 5 trucks started to roll. Captain Fyoder and his command squad, accompanied by commissar Deneth in the first truck and the rest of the squads each in their own truck.

as they arrived 11 miles away from the battery the platoon dismounted.
"2nd platoon follow me!" ordered Fyoder.
They were only 10 feet away when the trucks went back to the lines. Unaware of the danger that lied ahead the platoon advanced forward to the sound of the artillery. Instants later a recruit was hit by a sniper.
"Take cover!" shouted Fyoder.
seconds later a stream of traitors were storming them.
"Hurry take cover in that building, move move move!!!"
More men were cut down by enemy fire. As they entered the building, Fyoder ordered to barricade the door.
"I want the heavy bolters up stairs at the windows, the rest of you take up firing positions. Vox get over here, now!"
"sir? asked the vox trooper."
"Get hq on the line!"
"HQ on the line sir"
"give me the headphone. Sir we were ambushed by enemy forces of unknown size. We are now taking cover in a ruined building, I am requesting some fire support sir. My vox trooper will give you the coordinates, over."
Fyoder threw the headphone back at the trooper and drew his boltpistol and power sword. He saw commissar Deneth executing a trooper who was trying to run away.
Suddenly an explosion made a hole in the walls of the building. 5 troops were knocked to the ground.
"Nevsky, help those wounded! Take cover men, theirs an enemy Leman Russ in the open!"
Fyoder aimed his bolt pistol at the assaulting heretics. He shot and saw one of the traitors head explode. 5 more shots, 5 more dead.
"Where's that fragging fire support ?!" Shouted Fyoder to no one in particular.
He again fired his boltpistol into the approaching heretics.
"DIE YOU TRAITOROUS BASTARDS, IN THE NAME OF THE EMPEROR, DIE!

Also, remember capitals commas and stuff, but that's just the little stuff. Good going!

KRACK! Another shell exploded knocking Fyoder to the ground As he looked up he saw a big hole in the wall and three mangled bodies lying around Nevsky ran towards Fyoder.
Are you all right sir?
"Yes i am"
"Sir rebels incoming they're heading towards the gap!"
"deploy a bolter here in front of the door now!"
2 troopers were shot down while they were standing in front of the hole.
"Bolter set up sir!"
Fire ! Ordered fyoder
The bolter kicked into life. Dozens of rebels started exploding, but their were more from where they came from.
"watch out grenade! BOOM! The grenade exploded right under the bolter. Both the gunners died. It was instants later when the first traitors entered the building.
"Fix bayonets!" ordered Fyoder.
"Form a line here!"
Ready!
"Fire!

3 more traitors fell down. The rest entered the building, hacking away at the defenders. Fyoder took his power sword and chopped of the head of one of the traitors.
Commissar Deneth shot down another trooper who ,in vain, tried to get out before he took his chain-sword and sliced a traitor in half.
"sir, valkyries inbound!" yelled the vox trooper.
"thank the emperor , finally!"
fiiiieeeewwwww!!! The 1st valk flew by destroying the leman rus with helstrike missiles.
The second used its bolters and multilaser to shoot down loads of traitors. The last two launched their missile pods at the opposite building where the enemy had formed a firebase.
"This is valkyrie squadron 496, Flying tigers, lieutenant Hitchcock, inbound we are ready for touch down to pick you up and drop you at the battery.
" right! everybody get out of this building and get into the valkyries go go go go!"
" Captain Fyoder, we have 11 dead and 6 wounded 2 of them cant be transported ." informed deneth
" that isn't so bad, evacuate all the survivors Commissar." replied Fyoder
minutes later all the men were in the valks and on their way to the battery.
