I might drive down as I don't have a football game that I'm going to that weekend.

The only issue I have with Mr. Mondo is that he only gives prizes to the top winners for overall, general, best painted, players choice, & best sportsman. Every other tournament in a two day format that I've played at gives prizes to the top 3 finishers in each catagory. So lets say they have 40 players sign up with half buying early birds and half getting pre registration. That's $1,800 and they'll only be giving out prizes to 5 people.

I'm always there for the gaming instead of the prizes but the prize support by the Conquest crew has dissapointed me so far. Hell, if they even provided dice or some item to all participants I'd be happy. But I love 5 day tournaments, so I'm betting I'll go.

Huh, I heard 0 complaints about the seattle conquest regarding prize support. I heard those winners got quite a bit of loot in fact (even if runners up got nil). GW GTs give ya jack squat for a higher cost, just a trophy, as do other indy's.

*shrug*

I just hope they iron out some of the scoring issues and get us interested folks the details sooner rather then later. One reason I didn't go to Seattle was the lack of important info until a mere weeks before. I am not gonna drop the cash needed to travel west and find a crap RTT style event.

Anywho, perhaps I will see ya there or at the Seattle version in January. Have to see whose Salamanders reign supreme.

I really didn't have anything bad to say about the prize support until I attended other indy GT events and realized that there were more prizes being given out at GT's with half the number of people then were at Conquest in Seattle.

We actually did a cost estimate of the winning loot and it was only worth about $1600-$2000 RETAIL while the tourny alone took in over $6000 in attendence fees from the registared players.

I'm 85% sure I'll come down for the Oregon GT assuming point level is 1850 or 2000. I love 2 day tournaments!
