I'm new to the game and had some questions about the Tau's stealth field generators.

1. Is it possible to attach a SFG to models that are not other wise equipped with them?

2. If so.... where can these rules be found?

Hi, welcome to Dakka. To answer your question, no.

At this point, as far as i'm aware, the only models the come with a SFG are stealth suits, Shadowsun, and sniper drone teams.

Welcome to dakka =) If I were you I'd bring the question to the you make da call section. You'll probably get more feedback. To answer you, I'm sorry but I don't 100% understand what you mean. Do you mean attach something like a commander with a stealth team or some other IC?

No, he means attach a Stealth Field Generator to models, just as you would with normal wargear etc. Units attempting to fire at a model with a SFG have to do a spot check as if firing at night (2d6 x 3). It's not listed as a buyable option in any armoury, but comes already built into certain models. No other models can take it.
