In M39 WAAAGH GHRAZ landed on the Agri world Cilla Prime (to the galactic north of Storm System) utterly slaughtering the Imperial guard and planetary defense force, however the call for aid was sent out, and the Space Marines of the Storm Swords answered. The Entire chapter moved to crush the WAAGH on Cilla and prevent its advance any further. As the Orks outnumbered them greatly Chapter Master Invictus decided that the only way to ensure victory would be to strike at the head of the WAAGH; War boss Ghraz himself. Master Invictus decided that he and the terminators of the first company would lead a daring strike behind enemy lines to engage Ghraz and the Nobz leading the army once the rest of the chapter made planet fall. The companies made planetfall and began to pour fire into the ork hoard, however sheer weight of number pushed the second and third companies of back allowing Invictus’ trap to be sprung.
Master Invictus and the terminators of the first company made a deep strike assault behind the Ork lines, and quickly the spotted the massive Warboss and ruling Nobz in the center. Invictus and the first company carved a bloody swath through the Nob and Mechboy alike as. Invictus waded through orks, his twin storm swords and storm bolter killing all in his path with a power that awed all who saw it. Finally Invictus came face to face with Ghraz. With a war cry Ghraz charged, bringing his powerclaw down at Invictus. Moving with a speed that only a space marine possesses Invictus leapt forward and under the cut slicing at the Ork’s leg. Ghraz stumbled, but again brought the powerclaw down at Invictus this time connecting cutting deeply into the Chapter Master’s back .Driven to his knees fury rose in Invictus and he rose from his knee and roared. This time Invictus charged at the wounded War boss ignoring the blood streaming from his armor. As the power claw came down again Invictus saw his opening. Allowing the Powerclaw to cut into his shoulder he buried his blade into Gharz chest. As Ghraz bellowed in pain Invictus continued forward, and twisted and thrusting the second of his matched blades through Ghraz’s spine. As the Warboss dropped to his knees blood pouring from his wounds Invictus retrieved his swords and beheaded Ghraz producing a fountain of gore. As the head of the war boss fell to the ground the Orks charge faltered, and seeing this Invictus bellowed “Charge!” over the vox system to his chapter. At this Chief Librarian Razael and the company commanders stopped their fall back movement and sprang into a charge pushing the stunned and broken orks and toward the first company. With the veterans of the 1st company acting as the anvil the orks were driven to them by the fire of the rushing space marines. Falling upon the fleeing orcs the space marines of the Storm Swords surrounded the fleeing xenos scum and slew them to the man. What would have taken weeks to do by normal standards had been done in a day, and with not a ork left alive on the planet the storm swords sent out word that the xenos threat had been ended.
