Today, Heiko with Tau vs. me with Mech Space Marines.

Well, Tau was beginning.

Turn 1: The Stealth Drone was targetting the closest LRC (L) so that the Hammerhead and the Battle Suits were hitting with higher BS. But theirs shots bounced off. One Pred (P) was shaken and stunned, and the closest Rhino (R) was immobilized. The Scouts got shot by Fire Warriors, one casualty.

Librarian Karl commanded the Landraiders to move ahead at full speed in direction of the Stealth. Additionally, he ordered the 2nd Rhino to accompany the Landraiders. But the Rhino got immobilized when moving into difficult terrain. He immediately ordered the two Rhino squads to disembark and to get into position for fire support. The shooting went back almost no casualties. Lucky us, the Stealth Drone was gone.

Turn 2:

The Tau shooting went on.
The Stealth approached the closest Landraider to target it by a melta, but they missed. This Landraider was also under fire from Battle Suits and Hammerhead, with no result. In the meanwhile, the left hand Pred got popped and the Scouts lost their lifes.

Librarian Karl commanded the Landraiders to move forward. One Landraider moved in front of the Stealth and the Assault Termies disembarked. The Termies made short work with the Stealth and then moved towards the Hammerhead. In the meanwhile, the other Landraider headed at full speed towards the center. Its payload (5 Assault Termies led by Karl) charged the Kroot annihilating them. Finally, the two Battle Suits fell into the dust.

Turn 3:

The Tau army began to struggle. The Crisis and Fire Warriors took on the 5 Assault Termies in the center. When the dust cleared, 2 Termies and Karl were dead. The 5 Assault Termies close to the Hammerhead had more luck, they survived the incoming fire. One Landraider got shaken by the remaining Broadsides.

Well, the Termies did a great job. The 3 Assault Termies in the center killed the 3 Crisis after the charge and the 5 Assault Termies in the north east corner stunned the Hammerhead. The other Landraider and the Marines killed all but 4 Fire Warriors in the tower of the north west corner. The Fire Warriors fell back and were not seen again.

Turn 4:

In another sad moment, the 3 Assault Termies died midfield, while the 5 Assault Termies had no enemy unit in rapid fire range (with the Hammerhead stunned) and so were safe.

The 5 Assault Termies popped the Hammerhead and the LRCs moved toward the other flank (north-west) of the Tau army. The remaining Broadsides got killed.

The Tau army surrendered basically with nothing in hand to take down the Landraiders.

Kill points: 7 (SM) vs. 5 (Tau). Win. Cheers!
