I suck so bad at Blazblue, but it's a great game.

There is no thread because Street Fighter IV, peace be unto Capcom, exists and thus there is no need for it. This screen-shot sums it up fairly well I think.

Streetfighter's fine if you have a fireball fetish. Blazblue's got real action going for it.

In all honesty though, I have no idea how you can be ADD and play Blazblue. Game's so fast that if you stop paying attention to what's going on for a second, you'll eat a half health combo and probably end up in the corner for further rapage.

Unless you are playing against a total novice, this is true of any fighting game.

That's a little harsh, don't you think? I'm not saying SF4 is a bad game or anything. Just poking a bit of fun. Really, I would have my own copy of the PC version of the game now if I could, but EB games screwed me over with that one. I'd probably be playing that one too otherwise(either that, or complaining about it).

I've also been interested in KoF12. The sprites and animations are amazing, and although I've always wanted to play a true KoF game, I never got as much of a chance as I wanted. I was actually fairly excited for the game... until the reviews started to poor in.

Although I will say that I'm dissapointed with Blazblue's artstyle, considering how good Guilty Gear's was. Guilty Gear wasn't so much animu as it was glam rock. It looked like David Bowie exploded all over the place, with some punk atmosphere thrown in for added effect. Blazblue looks and feels just like an anime, which dissapoints me, when you consider just how crazy Guilty Gear was.

Likewise, although many of the characters are based on Guilty Gear counterparts, they mix things up to be fresh (for example, Litchi combines concepts of venom, bridget, and eddie while still having her own unique concepts, and Rachel is her own completely unique character entirely) without having to introduce copy characters or the like(worth noting that neither BB or GG ever had clone characters short of Robo-Ky's brief stint before getting a complete overhaul).

I bought BB because I'm a Guilty Gear fan, and the game plays similarly. I have plenty of complaints about the game(Fairly unbalanced for an Arc title these days, Arakune is a horrible concept, it's not Guilty Gear), but I find it to be something that I can dig my teeth into, and overall one of the better fighters I've played(once again, not as good as Accent Core, but still good).

Arc deserves quite a bit of credit though. They've created some of the most unique characters and mechanics in fighting games. with characters like Venom and Eddie doing things that were pretty much never touched upon. They make incredibly deep mechanics with every character managing to feel like a completely different game, while still retaining a sense of balance between the entire cast.

There will always be people that cant keep up with the combos , and perfer to play types of games that stay on the far screen corner and spam

I love guilty gear , its original , the art is great , the music .... i can tolerate it ,
though the Destroy move is abit weird ( cool looking but... )

Yep, I loved that movie. That's why I initially picked Noel as my main.

I still havnt play the game yet, but my friend keeps showing me clips of it.

I like Taokaka she reminds me of Wolverine in MvC

Also since you like fighting games, have you tried this yet? ( its from capcom team , but free )

Most of what Taokaka does is piss off projectile spammers while getting in close really easily with her drive, and then doing some wicked damage with drive loops and taunt comboes.

She's a really cool character with lots of personality, but personally, her comboes are just too much for me, and the timing too nitpicky for me to be any good with her. She's definetly a great character though, with great matchups and a fairly straightforward gameplay style.

@Fafnir: I agree with much of what you are saying, I just haven't gotten that into the GG series since the first one even though I own a few of them. Not bad games, they just didn't do it for me, even if I had been inclined the jump from anime inspired characters of GG to full blown anime rip-offs.

And you see , im not even talking about you . I know MANY people that absolutely refuse to play these combo fighter games
which includes GG , and arial combos like MVCs. Instead they play other types like Marvel VS SNK.
