Well true,but to me it looks more Necronisque,considering the Orks were created to defend the "Brain boyz"long ago, maybe its just a real old Necron skull...maybe not.

The heads are SIMILAR not the same. If you take a few minutes with a magnifying glass you can see no V-shaped piece of metal and the "teeth are different. I'm still going with wierd pre-heresy SM helmet

The heads are similar most likey because when being sculpted it was intended to be a necron skull,you have to take into account that this trophy pole is older than the plastic necrons & I doubt the sculptor would say to himself " Say,I belive I'll add a wierd,no ones seen it,pre-heresy space marine helmet here",so yeah,I'm sticking with Necron skull.
