Not naming names, but I stopped by muy local LG, while killing time until I pick my daughter up from her event. Their listed on GW's back of WD Indepenent store listing.

They had? 6 or so random blisters and 3-4 box sets at random, stuffed in a small rack and pretty much have pared it down to nothing, just getting rid of whatever they had. They use to have a wall of stuff and every army, but looks like their not carrying anymore.

I dont see a reason they should be listed in WD anymore....No games going on, no product in stock.

Dont they even check themselves?

EDIT:

Chekced GW site, and they say the LG event is:

Lucky 13s Ch 4: The Tables Turn 08/22
Sat, 22 Aug 2009 - Sat, 22 Aug 2009

Checked the store site:

Star wars tournment, Video game torunment, 3.5 free play and Magic draft......no mention of the event!

Hope more old fools come to their senses and start giving you their money instead of those Union Jack Blood suckers...

They don't have the resources to keep tabs on every store. If you want to complain just email them I guess.

I've seen the WD continue to list stores that had closed for months afterward.

You need to get in touch with the GW Trade Sales rep for that area.

Makes you really wonder how many stores *actually* carry their stuff and how many stores *actually* run the events they say... There are some practical reasons for making people believe that your "empire" is larger than it really is, aye?

Haha, yeah.

Hobby Masters in Raleigh is still listed, and they closed almost a year ago.

Game Boy's in Abilene, Texas is listed and it had one box of Ork Boyz for sale under the counter. Two years after that? Still in the listing.

A Newbury comics in Natick, MA was listed on the website as carrying Warhammer stuff. I went in and found a single four foot rack with three shelves of Fantasy Dwarves and Wood Elves boxed sets. That was it on those shelves.

And all this means is that their Trade Accounts were never closed.

Add in White Dwarf is generally signed off 3 months in advance, and you have room for error.

There is a listing in our area for a store that never opened! That being said, in the independent retail agreement your GW trade rep is supposed to visit your store every year and a half. It has been over three years since a rep has visited our region though.
