I've been away from table top gaming for many months but am planning to get back into AT-43. I've got a completed Star Trooper platoon but want to build a Death Dealers tac-arm platoon for fun (found the .pdf for the army on Rackham's site). Has anyone run this list? Is it considered still viable against current armies?

Death Dealers have been changed in the Frostbite Campaign book to be allowed into any faction. No need for the special death dealer faction. They also have a new Death Dealer hero, Lt. Epstone which makes the Death Dealers a fantastic unit.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Death Dealer TacArms are good but you dont need a lot of them in your collection. One squad plus Epstone is fine.
You can deploy without her, and she is expensive but the Epstone model looks good and the benefit to the squad is huge.

Death Dealers fill a hole in the UNA list, cheap volume friepower.
you you can have Iron Rain but they are expensive, yes you can have mased laser guns and volcan MG's in your infantry, but you really need the lasers and missiles. Dealth Dealers provide the anti-horde firepower at a reaasonable price.

The reason you dont take multiple squads is because you can use laser cannon and massed infantry for anti-horde if needs be, but you cannot reverse role a Death Dealer squad. In this they are the mirror opposite of Jam TacArms.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Thanks for the replies. I've been out of the loop too long; I'll have to track down a copy of the Frostbite rules to catch up on things.

Regards,
