Just started playing the game after being forced into it finally, and its one of the best games ive ever played
Good story to it, but i hate the constant walking everywhere all the time.
also, im in need of some help
1: Best place to get a decent amount of ammo?
2: Best way of making money but keeping good karma?
3: Best way to level up quickly?
4: Where the feth is the dcent armour in thegame?
5: i have no DLC yet, since i wanted to play through it 1st, but are there any quick and easy missions to build up on?
Finished 8 quests so far, survival guide taking the longest of course.
And also just finished tenpenny tower (allthough i was a dick and killed everyone in side by letting them in lol)

Brilliant game. Here's some help from a grizzled veteran.
1. Ammo depends on what you're specialized in. Personally, although I'm level 20 (haven't got all the DLC yet) I still find myself falling back on the hunting rifle for general use, as well as Blackhawk for select targets. Getting ammo for the hunting rifle is easy; just nail some supermutants. This is their weapon of choice a lot of the time.
2. Easy way of making money is to nuke Megaton but to be honest I found that money was rarely an issue. You'll find/loot everything you need and everything else is just window dressing.
3. Quests/Main Storyline/Killing Spree. Although don't rush; it's a game to be savoured
4. You'll be able to wear Power Armour after completing a later mission. The Brotherhood of Steel will give it to you. I never use it personally but that's just me... Also if you have the Operation Anchorage DLC you can get access to that armour immidiately, even at level 2.
5. Fallout's quite clever in that the main missions give you more XP. However, just take your time. There's a mass of well scripted quests out there that are rewarding in much more than XP. Seeing ''George Washington'' was a particular highlight.
I must say that after finishing the game and Operation Anchorage I have become something of a combat God. My stealth skills are all maxed and coupled with the snazzy Chinese hardware from OA I can easily waltz up to any enemy and shoot them in the face.
Tips: Most important skills are- Repair, Science, Charisma, Sneak. In other words; everything that isn't obvious.
Oh, and my biggest tip of the game? Save your game when off to Project Purity with Lyon's. You'll know what I mean when it happens.

Been playing it for a bit today.
Now got power armour and hunted down the set of T51b for myself, grabbed a alien blaster aswell with 120 cells.
Went for a scrounge and found another 120 cells for it.
Killed off 4 of the 5 big ass mutants.
and now ive started building some of the rare weps (shishkebab lol)

Completed, with every side quest etc finished. Some were a tad difficult to find though. It was a good game, but just Oblivion with guns. Ultimately I think thats what has put me off playing it more. Oblivion is just such a better game in my eyes. The downloadable content kept my interest for a little while in Fallout though.
The MIRV was a good giggle though.

They also didn't include mounts. I mean there are like 10,000 motorcycles just laying around and you're telling me that none of them work. I was rather upset although the easter eggs and other surprises made up for it. Automatically Appended Next Post: Best way to level up may be that speech challange glitch in bigtown.

Just a few updates on my fallout 3 game
Now found the MIRV (using the glitch so i didnt have to do the quest)
Also have a few more 1 of a kind weapons, aswell as all of the available weapon plans
Allthough, ive lost interest in the main quest line and decided to start wiping out towns in my boredom (the result of a MIRV, tons of mini nukes and boredom)

NNNNNnnnnnnnnnoooooOOOOOOOoooooooooo..... (bangs head against the wall...)
 Red... Ring... O'... Death...
Motherless son of a monkey whore. I have been really into Fallout 3 since I started it over a month ago. I have the 4 of the DLCs (not Zeta) and having a fricking blast! Have to say it is my new obsession. Kinda funny that now there are a few games coming out in the future that have to do w/ post-apocolypse type stories. (Borderlands kinda, the MMO one, and Rage) Not that I don't mind though.
Main quest wise, the last thing that I have finished was getting to the Jefferson Memorial. Since then I have been off on my own just exploring and doing side quests. I did OA and now have the stealth suit and the Gauss Rifle. The stealth suit is sweet, but I can run around w/ the Pip-Boy light on and everyone ignores me. Makes the whole thing kinda easy. Until they find you and the whole place comes down around your ears.
I must say that this is my new obsession. (did I already say that?) Now I have to wait for Microsoft to get me my 360 back to me. *grumble, grumble*

I've been addicted to that game since returning from deployment last year. I'm level 25 now but my standard load has been the same since about level 15-
Scoped .44 Magnum (later Blackhawk)
Lincoln's Repeater
AK-47... uh.... Chinese Assault Rifle
Combat Armor (replaced by Reilly's Rangers Combat Armor- more AP!)
I keep the AK around since the other two share the rare .44 ammo. Plus the scoped magnum degrades at a good clip, though the repeater being repairable with hunting rifles is a good deal.
As for money... I hunt raiders. It's good for karma too.

Now finished it twice and playing through it again for achievements lol.
All in all, it has an amazing storyline, and i think i could play this game for months on end without getting bored of it
Not got any DLC's yet though, since the money is funding my BA army lol
My new layout for what i take with me:
Weapons:
shishkebab, lincolns repeater, alien blaster, a3-21's plasma rifle (amazing gun) Dart gun (for instant cripple on death claws)
Armour:
Full T-51-B
got all the weapon plans this time, and now bobble head and behemoth hunting to pass time while i wander about
Just some help needed though.
Where the feth is Rockopolis?
Cant find it on maps since it doesent show, and theres a bobble head in there.
also, wheres the bobble in death claw sanctuary? wandered through there for ages killing death claws, but cant find it :(

The bobblehead in the DC Sanctuary (Endurance) is right inside the cavern. After you walk in, the first open area there is a pile of bodies and stuff. It should be setting right there on a metal tub.

thanks
Managed to find it in the end lol, was dropping off the edge rather than walking around.
Now up to 13 bobbleheads and 650 points in the game
Just found experimental medic armour aswell, so not too bad.
Managed to grab vengeance from the claw sanctuary too, meaning i now have a weapon other than my blaster that works for hunting claws.
