Korea (South, of course!)

I remember that the AoBR (Assault on Black Reach) starter set was one of those affected by the June 2009 price hike, having the price increased from 40 GBP to 45 GBP.

Then I noticed today that AoBR is now selling at 50 GBP!
Was there another price hike, just for the AoBR set?

I was going to recommend this to a friend wanting to start out 40K, but it's quickly losing its attractiveness as a "starter".

I mean, there's effectively been a 25% price increase!

In the states it went from 60 to 75 dollars. So a 25% hike. But still a bargain with what's in it.

What else would you use as a starter?

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Well, you've got a point... but I think the Battleforce of each army may be a better bargain now.

AoBR started out as costing a good deal less than the SM Battleforce, but they now cost the same at 50 pounds each.

And with the Battleforce, you're not limited in the poses and weapons customization options.

AOBR started at £40, it never cost £45, the most recent price hike took it from £40 to its current price of £50.

not really, when you figure in that whichever army you want, orks or marines, you can probably trade someone the half you don't want.

2 warboss, 10 nobs, 40 boyz, and 6 deffkopters, ...and a rulebook....beat an ork battleforce.

Hmm... my memory must be becoming rather faulty.
Maybe I'm growing old or something :(
