Subject: Question about an army boxed set

Hi, I don't play LOTR, but I had a question about a boxed set. At a hobby store near my I found an Army of the Free People(I think thats what it said). It has a lot of Gondor cavalry and infantry in it. I can't find it on the GW website so I don't know if it is a good deal or not. The price is around 125(us dollars) normally, but with them wanting to get rid of it it was down to 75 dollars. If anyone knows if this is worth getting or passing on please let me know. I have considered getting into lotr for a while, but never have. Thanks for your time.

Heck, it's worth getting even if you don't want to get into LotR. Stick that sucker on ebay.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

The boxed set is "The Forces of the Free People".
1 mounted Theoden
1 mounted Eowyn
1 mounted Faramir
26 warriors of Minas Tirith including command
12 warriors of Rohan
5 knights of Minas Tirith
6 riders of Rohan
What books whould I need to make an army out of this box, I am sure that I would have to get some more models though. I have been reading up on the game and it seems that there are a few different types of games(small and large battles) for LOTR. Which one is more popular? Thanks again for the advice.
They also had a few boxes of Warhammer items that I got as well that are out of production, Kislev Winged Lancers and Lizardmen Saurus Warriors on Cold Ones(gotta love being in the middle of no where... LOL).
Edit: I ment to edit my earlier post instead of double post, sorry.

If i was in your case i would buy the-
LOTR main rules manual or WOTR rules manual
Legions of middle earth.
1 gondor avenger bolt thrower to nail enemy trolls and heroes.
Some mounted rohan royal guard.
possibly gandalf the white mounted.
