Ok, so my favorite war machine army is khador. But I very rarely win with them. And it gets old getting you ass handed to you over and over again. I could just break out the pop and drop, but I would prefer to play khador.

I mainly use sorcha (she is the only caster model I had for a long time) but I just picked up the old witch a few days ago.


I think my main problem is that I love the behemoth and as such field that 172 point sink of a jack...

I need some powerful khador lists that can compete with the big dogs (cryx pissis me off)... I am not 100% opposed to buying new models, but would prefer to use the ones I got, which are...

1 behemoth
1 Kodiak
1 destroyer
1 juger
1 marauder

10 iron fangs
Iron fang unit attachment
Widow makers
1 blister of gray lords
3x man o war shock troopers

The mage hunter
Keal beltoch (the sniper solo)
Gorman


Now, the models I would be most apt to buy are the ones the local store has at 40% off

The devastator
Another iron fang box
A winter guard box
The solo that goes with winter guard... not sure of his name

Anyways... tips please?

The old Witch is a finesse caster that is not easy to use. She can be nasty but you really need to be skilled with her.

I don't know that i would switch to her and expect my win count to sky rocket as a result.

I'd pick up Vlad. Just about every khador model gets better with vlad.

He amps up the aggression which is what khador already excels at, and your model collection will greatly benefit from his synergy with them.

I'd get a Drakhun to go with vlad as well.

Vlad seems to be the go-to caster for ease of use with Khador. However I know i get cursed a lot louder when I bring out Karchev. He has the same Armor and Defense of a Juggernaut. People hate that because unless they bring some Pow 14 attacks, they are going to have a heck of a time bringing him down.

In order I recommend these casters. Regardless you need a War Dog, i don't know any Khador play who doesn't swear by theirs:
1) pVlad or eVlad
2) Karchev (I know people rave about Iron Curtain, but Tow and Unearthly Rage is insanely good too)
3) pButcher

I LOVE the Behemoth too, but you need Reach as well.
1) Beast-09 (If there is a must-have Khador jack i would say he is it)
2) Marauder (free slam, you can't go wrong)
3) Destroy with Koldun Lord as Jack Marshal for taking out incorporeal Cryx with range (Drive to boost Hit, JM to boost Damage)

Units you may want to think about with any caster
1) Great Bears (Not cheap monetarily, but one of the best units Khador has imo)
2)Demo Corp (I swear by these guys - multi-wound and hard hitting)
3) Kayazy Assassins (Stealth and Ventilate allows for aggressive play).

Apologies, but I don't recall the name, however the merc solo who can drop a 12" no spells is quite useful in Khador armies. Just remember to use his ability after you've used your magic abilities.

Orin Midwinter. Karchev was crazy evil in the MKII playtest.

Ill have to look into the kuldron lord.

The friggin ghost units piss me off as only my caster can take them down... and if I actually want to HIT them I need to boost the dice... so sorsha is an easy squishy target for a round as all 6 of her focus are gone.


I do have a vlad model (found in a box)... that thing is so fugly.

Yes, the new jack is a must have for khador (go figure)... but its WAY over priced. I mean, the pricing on war machine stuff is like GW on steroids.
