Death Company (x5)
Venerable Dreadnought
Terminators (Lightning Claws and a Thunderhammer)
Land Raider
Tactical squad+rhino
Tactical sqaud +rhino
Tactical sqaud +rhino
Landspeeder
Landspeeder

Deployment:
I win the first roll off and I choose to deploy first and go first, he does not steal the initiative... I deploy on the right, Boyz in from, Nobz in back. 2 squads of Warbuggies on the left, 1 squad on the right along with 10 lootas. He deploys everything on the left... out of range of my lootas (like they are dangerous or something...) and in the corner...

Turn 1:
Boyz and Nobz move (and Run foreword) Lootas unload into the dreadnought ripping it of one weapon and its mobility, the Buggies follow suit and rip the dreadnought of its other weapon.

He sacrifices his Death Company to kill off one of my mobs of 20 and a warbuggie (immobilized it with a bolter pistol), the death company is whittled down to one. He presents an interesting target with the Landraider by parking it behind difficult terrain.

Turn 2:
One squad of Buggies (the one with 2 in it) finishes off the lone death company soldier, Boyz and Nobz move foreword, I Waaagh! (perhaps a little too early) so the Nobz can whack the Landraider... Snikrot comes off the board and spots two tastey looking landspeeders that have not moved far (they were afraid of the lootas, buggies and were too busy unloading into Ork mobs) he shoots and devours both of them (one immobilized with no weapons the other reduced to moving cover). The Buggies fire into a Rhino that Popped Smoke, all I get is a Weapon Destroyed...

His congo line of Rhinos begin to move foreword, He drops off one Tactical squad to threaten my Orks. (I should have heeded this warning like a good Boss instead of focusing on the Landraider) His Landraider also spurs into action as it drops off the Terminators and fires a Hurricane-bolter into one of my mobz (this may have been the following turn...). His Terminators Assault the first Nob Squad and they get shredded as they all have power weapons and high saves. Luckily double ones keep me in the fight long enough to kill a Terminator.

Turn 3+

Two Nobz fight together against the Evil Landraider and knock out both hurricane-bolters but the mobs suffers about 5 more casualties between them. The Warbuggies take a few more potshots at the Marines (Killing a few) They slowly whittle down and harass the Rhinos eventually blowing up all three and would have wiped all his marines off the map had the game not ended early. two Marines squads started to move closer to his objective only to get caught in a double charge from a fresh mob of 20 and a Fresh Snikrot. This wipes only one squad of marines out the other beats back Snikrot and Catches him. I eventually Assault the Marines but they beat me with their superior saves and initiative. His Terminators wipe out another mob of Nobz but are finally taken out by a mob of 12 orks...

My lesson of the day was to find out how far his models can move, add 6" and make sure that I could assault his units rather than be denied the charge. Also to hide my Nobz from elite killers like Terminators. My saving grace was the fact that he did not have enough resources to spend to deal with three squads of Warbuggies and they were allowed to zoom around unchallenged...

I think I will include a Warphead in my next list, dropping a Nob Squad and Warboss for something else... I think one Nob Squad is enough and Warpheads basically say I have 5 abilities and three will be relevant all the time...

I have to admit, I miss the old Infantry battles of 4E compared to this 5E wonderland of APCs/IFVs everywhere. It's like we jumped from WWI to WWII.

A tough defeat but if you can learn from it so much the better. Pardon me for saying, but in the future I would go with units of 30 for foot-slogging boyz. A unit of 20 is only optimal for battle-wagons.

PROSECUTOR: By now, there have been 34 casualties.

Before I forget, 2000points

Hmmm. Playing against a MEQS assault army and I noticed that Power weapons will ruin the Nobz' Day... I took out the Pain Boys, freeing up 60 points... I also noticed that 20 boyz cannot stand up to a 10 man MEQ assault because of the Fearless rule killing orks and getting cut down from rolling anything but a Double ones on the leadership...

I also know that orks on the charge kill about everything... so I need more mobs rather than more boyz in a mob. So I will keep 4 mobs of 20 along with 2 mobs of 10 Nobz (thus maximizing my potency in C&C)

So here is my new list...
