just tried wardice, a d6 generator for wargames on iPhone and it is very convenient for armies that require lots of dice rolls such as my Orks at w40k. worth a try.

So what is this you said? A iPhone extra-thing to download to your iPhone that throws x amount of dices in the phone?
If I understood that right, it would be a blessing of a god (If I just had iPhone). Rolling 120 dices with 30 orks is just not that fun when you have only 80 dices

Win/Draw/Lost statics
Space Orks: 11/1/1
Space Marines: 10/2/5
Lizardmen: 8/2/3
High Elves: 13/2/2 and one tournament victory!
Dark Eldar: 1/0/0

As long as the program is written correctly, I wouldn't mind. I actually have some Chessex dice that statically prefer to roll a '3' over any other number, so I like this type of application.

When just a few dice are needed it's nice to use real dice, but I think I'd prefer to use an app for large hordes of dice, say 30+.

Its pretty sad if your opponent would go so far as to write a fixed code for a released app to cheat at a friendly game of WH

Play Orks and 30+ is nothing!
I would allow my opponent to use that machine if I can use it too. Prevents cheating eh'?

Damn I wish I could use such logic in my own thought :|

Good idea, but not only do I not have an iPhone (yet) but I also prefer to roll buckets of dice at once, mainly for the baulking expression on the opponents face

I'll never understand dice superstition (Its absurd in D&D).. People do realize that chessex or any rounded dice roll 1s 23% or so of the time right? Virtually everyone uses them, so everyone is ALREADY cheating

I use dice program for all large games.. They're fast and helpful

Computers are very good at math believe it or not

Electronic dice rolls like this are never truly random though. It's as close as it can mathematically get, but still not the same.

Plus, the dice gods will no longer influence your rolls.

huh? Randomness is mathematical.. Thus if its as close as it can get on a mathematical basis.. then it is random

Thats like saying 1/6th != 1/6th... More dice superstition

Randomness may be represented mathematically, but doing it electronically has limitations. I remember my OOP lecturer saying something that would have made more sense, but I would usually nod off during those night classes.

Same if they were buying fixed dice, yet people do sink that low.
