Soo anyways... I HATE books... I LOVE the chapter wars book... Im not too far into it but its amazing thus far... Im confused though...

What the feth are the Soul Drinkers... It seems like at some points they are totally loyal and what not with just revolting newbies... and at other points they are calling them selves renegade chapter... but at another point they are like, oh damn space marines, if they see us they will THINK we are renegade... Bah I am confused... Am I just stupid or do you have to read the first book to put the pieces together? (I never read the first book O.o)

The basic story goes like this:


Sarpedon gets sent to retrieve the Soul spear (a void weapon once owned by Rongal Dorn) from a corrupt merchant. Once there agents of Mars steal it from under there noses. They throw a fit and kill everyone one. Word gets out and they get excommunicated, they realise that the imperium is corrupt and only the emperor can be trusted, they run and find a sweet space hulk to live in. gak breaks loose and tzeench mutates there geneseed. Sarpedon kills a greater daemon and resist tzeench.

That should be enough, without completely ruining the first books.

Makes sense... I read like 2 more chapter in the Chapter war book and it kind of came together... Renegade Chapter that only does the emperors will however the new recruits are bloody chaos! FOR THE DARK... FOR THE EMPEROR!

The 'first book' you're thinking of is actually an omnibus. You're missing 3 books worth of material.

Oh... well bloody hell haha... its still an amazing book and it seems like you can follow along in the story... it seems more like they all have their own stories but hint at the history from other books eh? Ill have to read those I guess! still an amazing book thus far though... so brutal

I must say Sarpedon and the Soul Drinkers do come off as being very clueless in the first couple of chapters. It was so obvious what was coming the Commissars on my painting table were screaming "Heresy!" and trying to execute the unpainted guardsmen.

Well I finished the book today... totally awsome and Im guessing there will be many more?
Time to start back at the begining but Im confused... WHATS THE BOOK ORDER?! I see "Soul Drinker" "Bleeding Chalice" "Crimson Tear" "Chapter War" and Im assuming thats the order? What about Omnibus though? anyone mind letting me know as I would deff like to read them all!

You want to buy the Omnibus... it is the first three books combined into one very long book. You'll learn about Tellos... an interesting character that was not part of the Chapter Wars book.

I actually bought omnibus a few weeks ago. Im well into Crimson Tears and Im LOVING it... the 2nd book, Bleeding Chalice, was kind of slow and not as much action packed kick face wrecked pwnage... but still amazing! Tellos is a really interesting character thus far... curious to see what happens.. cant wait!

I won't spoil it for you. I recently was watching a game with some Soul Drinkers, and I really wanna play them. And crush them beneath the iron boots of my CHAOS SPACE MARINES! GOO CHAOS!
They're good books.
